If you look at the results, TNN does give the proliferation of Blade decks. As a result, there're no combo decks in the Top 8. The fact that infect and goblins overcame Blade/TNN decks into the Top 8 should suggest something. I feel like goblin players panicked. DnT should have beef with TNN, but not these goblin people.
If you ignore the fact that TNN is just difficult to deal with there are a few other factors at play. Because TNN is still relatively new it is probably overplayed because everyone wants to use it. When I play a deck besides storm I do not really find TNN to be that big of a deal. I think the amount of spell pierces, and random counters are allowing creature heavy decks to make it into later rounds. The longer this goes on the more players will adjust their s/b's, and maybe TNN will not seem like an awkward problem. The problem may be that players do not play enough cards to deal with the equipment. Manriki Gusari and Shattering Spree would probably really even up the score.
There's still a fair number of decks that are just weak to the 3/1 sans equipment, though. Groundpounding white or green decks leaning on cards like Goyf/KotR or DnT style hatebears struggle with it, and playing Lands I have trouble because it's harder to EE at 3 without getting countered and it's unMazeable. The fact that it plays defense so much better than the Geist of St. Trafts of yesteryear means a lot in the fair matchups.
All WotC needs to do is to print another DRS-level dude, like:
another DRS - G/W
Tap: Make a Mana
White, Tap: Blow up artifact/enchantment
Green, Tap: Gain 2 life.
That might be enough to minimize TNN. TNN with no equipment can deal 1 dmg per turn.
What would it remove from the GY in order to blow up an artifact/enchantment? This seems hard to balance since if it just had to remove instant/sorcery then this effect would be horribly overpowered and if it had to remove artifact/enchantment then it seems like it'd be nearly impossible to activate.
G/W
Super White Magic Mage
Human Shaman
Tap: Exile target creature in a graveyard. Add one mana of any one color to your mana pool.
W, Tap: Destroy target Aura or Equipment. It's controller gains 4 life.
G, Tap: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature .
1/1
Seems good enough as a GSZ target at least.
The fact that there is one goblins in last event top 8 doesn't mean that goblins can easily overcome nemesis.Goblins disappeared in the last months ;if you look at his list, he plays 3 Tin street hooligan main deck, and this says a lot about the prevalence of blade decks in the format. If you look at the coverage of the last game of the quarterfinals (goblins vs uwr delver) you will notice that the goblin player is in a very good position (vial at 3, vial at 4, removals and ringleader in hand, creatures on board) where he would probably never lose if not facing true name nemesis. He dies to nemesis equipped with batterskull, but he could have died to nemesis alone if he didn't manage to kill the opponent the next turn.
It's just stupid that a 3 mana progenitus can exist, and simply there is no reason to play midrange creature decks without nemesis.

If you tell me that death and taxes players consider playing true name nemesis it's just another proof of the stupidity of the card. Death and taxes is a monocolor deck also because want to exploit mana denial (port, waste) at best alongside with playing 3-4 karakas. A double blue spell doesn't make sense it that deck and they might just play another deck.
Or maybe we should just play goblins with true name nemesis, or maverick with true name nemesis.
