    Oh boy Josh...

You took the time to write out this article and the only take away is that you like the taste of shoe leather...

MD wrp and sb xenagos are doing some great work for me recently. 3-3 in the miracles mu and ive noticed a vast improvment in the grindy matches like jund and rock.

What land are you using MD to support Xenagos? 1 MD Taiga?

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

Im running 1 taiga main in place of the 3rd forest or trop as i had ruric thar before and he got moved to the sb then cut for more discard. Xenagos is indeed the planeswalker and both is +1 and 0 abilities are just ridiculous. In miracles i have recently been playing 1-2 guys like deathrite and quirion and forcing removal then baiting a counterspell to windmill xenagos. They just cant keep up with the repeatable beats and you can sac them to NO's.

The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

Could someone please repost the most current sideboarding strategies vs the most common decks?

    Specifically:

    BUG
    Miracles
    Delver tempo deck
    Combo in general
    Jund

Since the sideboard had a thorough rework I would be very interested to know how this changes (if at all) boarding.
MD is an exact copy from Julian :)

How to sideboard depends on what you have in the board, and what you expect from them. Julian's new sideboard is experimental, it's built so he can try all kinds of SB cards on a whim. I wouldn't sacrifice the combo matchup that hard in a tournament setting.

How I sideboard with my current list. Critique super welcome.
    The list:

    Miracles:
    -1 Hornet Queen / Hoof #2
    -1 Ruric Thar
    -1 Viridian Shaman
    -4 Glimpse of Nature
    -3 Nettle Sentinel
    -2 Heritage Druid

    +3 Abrupt Decay
    +2 Pithing Needle
    +1 Progenitus
    +2 Surgical Extraction
    +2 Bitterblossom
    +2 Cabal Therapy

RUG/BUG Delver: Take out cards that need a lot of resources on board, Progenitus wins.
    -1 Ruric Thar
    -1 Hoof #2
    -1 Viridian Shaman
    -2 Heritage Druid
    -1 Nettle Sentinel

    +3 Abrupt Decay
    +1 Progenitus
    +2 Thoughtseize

Storm (Reanimator): Slow stuff out, hate in.
    -3 Visionary
    -3 Symbiote
    -1 Viridian Shaman
    (-1 Nettle Sentinel)
    (-1 Heritage Druid)

    +3 Cabal Therapy
    +2 Thoughtseize
    +2 Surgical Extraction
    (+2 Pithing Needle)

Show and Tell: Experimental as hell atm. Classic slow stuff out, hate in combo plan, with some added wtfblossoms.
    -3 Visionary
    -3 Symbiote
    -1 Hoof
    -1 Viridian Shaman
    -1 Scavenging Ooze
    -1 Nettle Sentinel
    -1 Heritage Druid
    -1 Glimpse of Nature

    +3 Cabal Therapy
    +2 Thoughtseize
    +1 Progenitus
    +2 Pithing Needle
    +2 Surgical Extraction
+2 Bitterblossom (Emrakul countermeasures, Cradle supercharging, Therapy fodder)

(Punishing) Jund: Punishing Fire is a bitch. If we can Surgical it, sailing should be smooth from there on out. Progenitus is a trump as usual.
    -1 Hoof
    -1 Ruric Thar
    -1 Viridian Shaman
    -1 Nettle Sentinel
    (-1 Heritage Druid)
    (-1 Quirion Ranger)

    +1 Progenitus
    +3 Abrupt Decay
    (+2 Surgical Extraction)

Ross Merriam's list from last night doesn't have a Viridian Shaman anywhere in the 75 and no maindeck artifact removal O_o

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

No Ooze in the main either. It feels like a build from months ago, which it probably is. A testament to the basic strength of the deck, Ross' playskill and Ms. Fortuna's smile.

EDIT: Merriam's list. David Shiels' sideboard isn't exceptionally hateful, but his maindeck looks about as good for taking on Elves as D&T can be.

10 fetches feels a bit like over kill. I guess though, when it is commanded of you, you must feed the Shaman.

Yeah 10 seems overkill. Would much rather run 9 and 2 basics. More and more people are scumbagging it out with cards like Blood Moon and Back to Basics, can't let them win >:O

Ok, I know I am late to this party but did I really just read a published article that said "I drink from the cup or RUG, Elves is Shit"? The fuck, I think someone got the two mixed up.

The exact list matters a lot less than how much experience you have with the deck.

Ross is extremely skilled with that deck (and for what it's worth, also the monoblue devotion deck he won the std open with).

Yep! I guess the guy who wrote that mess, must be beating himself up now pretty hard! Getting proven wrong two weeks in a row right after the article got published is really hilarious! xD

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

@ Ross's list - Yeah, it is slightly outdated. But as Jarvis said, Ross knows the deck well enough to run whichever configuration he pleases and still do better than the rest of us. Playskill > 75 for this deck much more than others. However, all things equal, I would take something close to Riley Curran's list from last week to my next big event.

@ Ravitz's article - I don't know the guy personally, but he plays in my local area and I've spoken to him a couple times plus we have a few mutual friends. Believe me, he is not losing any sleep over his claims. The guy is a cold-blooded mage-killer and will say what he wants as he destroys all the wannabe wizards in his path.
