Yeah that was my cousin playing the deck. Overall I think the his play level was spot on all day, aside from 1 or 2 minor flubs. Elves is a miserable match and his lack of testing against it as-well as improper threat assessment cost him the game. I think we are good on the list he ran, going to cut Sower for this sweet Chinese Guilded Drake we found, also going to cut the Smash to Smithereens for a Jitte. Also Rough/Tumble > Pyroclasm.

U/W stoneblade vs shardless sultai on camera.

I thought scg ditching the traditional legacy deck names was bad for BUG/RUG then I saw sultai.

The real question is why we don't have "Azorius Stoneblade." I mean, all of the two color combinations have guild names. Why do three colors require the alternate names?

What happened to the best of videos when there was dead air time instead of this awful music?

This Burn player is playing the worst I have seen someone play on camera since that SCG a few weeks ago where there were several huge misplays.

Also BBD sure wishes he played 4 Treasure Cruise instead of 1 seeing him lose both games with graveyards up to 15-20 cards and never finding his 1 TC.

They are talking about the deck name changes right now, and the explanation is reasonable.

I like Shrout's tweet in response to the bitching about the clan names:

basically what I'm hearing from @scglive #SCGNJ viewers right now is "People who start playing this year aren't invited to play Legacy."
So instead, let's ostracize the vast majority of the long-term Legacy player base and pander to the few who started a week ago when the SCG hype train started? Now that's sound logic.

Considering that their intent is to grow their events, yes, that is logical. Deck names like BUG Delver are fine, of course, but by including actual WotC supported names, it allows for greater understanding for people who are maybe looking to get into the format. Clarification of deck names seems fine to me; it's better than an inside joke that maybe half of the people watching any given event will understand.

Can't they just keep the old names and make it look something like this:

    Shardless BUG (Sultai)

New people who are going to look for decklists are probably pretty confused when they can't find deck discussion on Shardless Sultai.

Well, they're still there, but repeating the same three games over and over again isn't that entertaining, either.

Part of joining Legacy is learning what things are called, just as newbies learn old interactions that are new to them, such as threshold or cumulative upkeep or, say, phasing. SCG has no compelling reason to retroactively rename years of Legacy decks, and the editorial overreaching is irritating to much of the Legacy community.

Don't understand why Duke wouldn't counter Entomb there game 2.

Because he wanted to counter spell that actually matters - Reanimate.

The reply that actually matters is definitely not your posts. Reanimator has 8 graveyard-to-play spells, it's futile to counter every single one when you can stop step 1. I would understand if he's concerned about Show and Tell SB and only one counter; however, he has both Spell Pierce and FoW for either route.

BBD's deck has Probe? It's garbage.

No Force - His hand was triple Hymn, double Shardless, land.

EDIT: well, that's what it looked like.
