There you go.
Don't cry Brainstorm haters. Brainstorm will be banned in the next announcement. or the next, or in 10 years.
Hmm, not Dig. I wonder why. Perhaps it has something to do with it not appearing as a 4-of in most of the decks that use it.
So, do all the decks using 4x Treasure Cruise yesterday simply scratch them for Dig?
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."
"Politicians are like diapers. They should be changed often and for the same reason."
"Governing is too important to be left to people as silly as politicians."
"Politicians were mostly people who'd had too little morals and ethics to stay lawyers."
was not expecting World gorger, but am happy as I own a play set and have loved the combo for years...
I'm so putting Worldgorger Dragon in Reanimator as a one of now. I might have to up my Animate Dead count.
How the fuck can you justify banning TC instead of Brainstorm. Can someone please try and justify that for me.
There is a difference in legacy between a spell costing U and double UU. Wotc made the perfect ban decision, no longer can aggressive decks reload their hand when they ran out of gas. I'm also pretty sure that Wotc is aware of the fact, that banning Brainstorm would only hurt the format, because it would increase the amount of masturbation by an absurde amount
Dig can go into Ur Delver and I expect that to be the play at the moment. It's an instant so it will get cast opponent's EoT to get around the inability to use the spells much the turn you cast it due tohard cost. It's a half-turn tempo loss and a card loss for Ur Delver but it will find them their win about as often due to the deeper dig.
I'm more excited that Gifts Ungiven is unrestricted in vintage and I have a reason to sleeve up my Mana Drains again.
Was hoping for a Survival and/or Goblin Recruiter unban. Maybe next time. Overall good news, I am happy.
TC gets the axe. That was expected and needed.
Worldgorger Dragon. Hmm. I mean is that thing even playable? Besides Animate Dead, are there any news tricks with it?
Because Brainstorm is not as powerful as Ancestral Recall.
I'm willing to put that out there. I will take that risk.
And suddenly, Miracles was the one to rule them all again.
Instead of casting their turn 2 or 3 with 1 mana, sometimes 2 left open, they'll cast EoT opponents turn 3 or 4 and untap with the cards they dug deeper for. I expect the net effect to be similar overall with the one real constraint now being that Stifle-Wasteland disruption has some ability to effect Ur Delver's ability to cast the spell due to therequirement.
The other change of course is that in a perverse display of reverse-engineering WotC has made it *harder* to splash this type of card draw into other lists. No more Treasure Cruise for Burn, etc, however blue still has access to Dig Through Time. It's as if WotC really understands and empathizes with poor under-represented weak blue lists.

I'm happy with this. Overpowered Treasure Cruise banned, but we still have Dig Through Time for people who want to play a powerful Delve-spell. Worldgorger Dragon is back. That's exciting.
To people that are unaware of it. This Creasure Cruise meta was the best meta for miracles. Miracles had almost no bad MU's. Before Treasure Cruise people had a reason to play decks like Shardless BUG and Jund Nic Fit, which are not good MU's.
