    Hey guys,

make sure to check out my first Vintage article!
It may be more casual than you'd have expected by me. Let me know how you liked it!

Well done, I was a bit surprised to see your name in the top 8 when the results came out, since I didn't think you were a Vintage player.

Paper Vintage is a blast though, glad you got to experience it, because it is to me, honestly, the most pure Magic you can play.

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, it was an outstanding blast to play this format. Everybody should have done it at least once in his/her life, to be honest!

    Awesome article.

I don't mind the casual tone of the article. Most of the users on the Source are hardcore Legacy players who haven't been exposed to Vintage, so a super in-depth account of the technical aspects of your deck or play wouldn't be as interesting. Instead, you sought to capture the magic of playing Vintage for the first time, which was exactly how I felt when I played Vintage for the first time this year, albeit proxied.

On another note, our local FNM got 20 players to play sanctioned Vintage last Friday.

Welcome to Amazon! You're a geeky 20-something earning $100,000 straight out of school. Guess where the money goes? :P

But seriously, if I worked for Amazon, I'd have done the EXACT SAME THING.

One day I'll make the trip for that FNM. I was told it was glorious.

    Hi Philipp,

nice read! Not only is it nice to see your results in the last years, it's also really nice that you tried out Vintage. Unfortunately many people still think it's all about first-turn-kills. As for me it is a much more fun format than Legacy. Because even if you're losing, it's most of the times in a really interesting or funny way!

I remember when you were wishing for the "Madenmodus" in a comment to my article about three years ago. Even though I think you have been working harder than me, I'm positive that you switched it on some time ago already ;).

Good luck for the future, especially while playing Vintage! :)

    Regards,

    Erik

This. I'd be on the same boat. Sounded like fun. I enjoyed the list quite a bit for some reason.

Well, I'm jealous. Since I am no longer in the North East, there are only 4 of us that can play Sanctioned here.

    Hey Erik,

thank you very much! I already forgot about the Maden-Modus, lol! Thanks for reminding me of that terminology. :D
Havn't seen any of you guys at any tournaments lately, do you plan to come to GP Lille?
