    MTGO Streaming Overlay

I was watching the setup guide for streaming:

I'd like to have a streaming overlay since I suck with photoshop. Does anybody have one for share? It doesn't need to be anything fancy, just something that works.

This is mine, designed for broadcast at 720p Replace the red with your MTGO screen, white with your cam. I chroma-key the chat so it ends up with white text on that wood background. You can see what it looks like in the only Twitch highlight I've ever posted

I'll upload the PSD which has the whole template with spacers and stuff when I get home!

    Well, that's nice.

One question about streaming: If my monitor is 1080p, yet my stream is 720p, does the overlay have to 1080p as well before it gets downsized?

Because in my preview stream window, the overlay doesn't cover the whole screen.

Are you using OBS? You can drag the size of the Overlay to fit on your screen, directly in the preview window. Just make sure to first click the "Edit xyz" button (not sure of the exact name).
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

Thanks guys, that has been really helpful so far.

I still need to fiddle around with the top bar to include match-up fields and a field for the current music, but after that, I think I'm set.

Probably finishing it sometime in the next few days.

You can do it either way. I have my screen being downsized and everything else in OBS is set to 720p. I use 720 rather than 1080 because for the first dozen or so viewers, twitch won't allow viewers to change the resolution setting.

Here's my overlay PSD. I didn't really investigate this stuff before doing it so perhaps I do it differently: I don't actually use this as an overlay. Instead, I leave those ugly boxes and cover them with the appropriate content. Since this has all the guide lines and stuff, it'll allow you to switch that if you'd like.
