    Re: [Deck] Goblins

Thanks for all the responses. I'm really looking forward to bring this deck this weekend. Has anyone thought about Goblin Settler? I think that the Kiki-Jiki Combo can be great, but I'm not goblin expert at all.

Also in Spain last month a Goblins took first place in a monthly series apparently: http://www.tcdecks.net/deck.php?id=16815&iddeck=125984 Very Interesting that it uses a whole playset of Ancient Tomb to boost a T2 Matron or Rabblemaster.

    Vids of the tournament:

    QF https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjF50vYAGtA (vs Miracles)
    SF https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4YlxMEiP8U (vs Miracles)
Finals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prM0xC4YUok (vs OMNITELL on the play!)

Interesting approach for sure, also ancient tomb powers out turn 1 chalice and turn 2 blood moon out of the board. Such a build could certainly make use of a couple chrome moxens/lotus petals/simian spirit guide.

Just play DragonStompy/Moggcatcher at this point.

Well, it is possible to do something in the middle between vial goblins and goblin stompy.... the world isn't black or white. Just because you add 3-4 ancient tomb and 2 chrome moxens and goblin rabblemasters doesn't mean your vial goblins deck is completely warped into another archetype.

If the opposing deck plays creatures, it probably comes out, especially on the draw.

    What are peoples thoughts about:

    - Goblin Rabblemaster vs Omnitell/ Storm. Paired with Piley looks great on paper.
    - Eidolon of the Great Revel vs Storm

Both as SB-options, thus having a more decent clock?

    Re: [Deck] Goblins

Goblin Settler has been tested as a one of, and been considered a good card especially in builds with warren instigator and kiki-jiki. He is useful mainly against combo decks if you manage to drop him early with lackey/instigator, and can lock the opponent out of the game with kiki. Also against miracles or decks with greedy manabases he does a lot of work.
I think at some point gobolord was playing even more than one copy between main and side

Goblins are on stream right now: http://www.twitch.tv/scglive took down Gerard Fabiano

It's funny that people trash talk goblins in the stream. I guess it helps us surprise people who don't think it's a good deck.

I was really worried about that game 3, opening hand was risky and the thoughtseize was harsh.

Not sure what Gerard was up to with counterbalance

Watched the game , don't know why gerard left counterbalance in after board.
Also note that the goblins player had probably 4 rabblemasters (drew three of them in game 2).
Let's hope for him to make day 2 at least

Even more amusing was that Gerard could've countered the Matron that got stingscourger in game 3 if he'd remembered the trigger.

What were peeps saying about gobs in the stream? Last time B-rad was on air, people were going nuts for Goblins

He may have missed the trigger on purpose. He was less likely to counter a three-drop than whatever the Goblins player was going to tutor up (presumably Stingscorger or Piledriver), so he didn't want to give him a free reveal to inform the decision on the Matron trigger.

Not sure it was right. It clearly didn't work out for him because he revealed a three-drop.
