Congrats on the Top-8! Well done. Looks like Trinisphere would have been better than Blood Moon though. Mea Culpa.

As all nongoblin cards you dont want her to be revealed by ringleader. But it was and i lost first vs dredge, if it was a mwm there will be a 100% win. But it is a little drawback for such a strong effect.

But as i always say in my russian goblin's topic thalia in main do not do your MU vs combo as better as you think in unknown meta, cuz you never mull agressive in first vs unknown player to get her.

    Thx GoboLord!

P.s thalia does not make you good MU worse. And it makes room for more SB cards it's like you has 18 cards in sb.
Thanks , that was very helpful and makes a lot of sense.
Do you feel like your manabase can Support 1 Karakas? (To protect Thalia and Krenko, or to bounce random legendaries of your opponent)

I thought about 1 karakas in main instead of the fourth port, but i wanted to run all 4.
A year ago i ran 1 kiki, 1 krenko, 1 grenzo in main, 3 thalias in sb and do it with karakas in main to bounce them back it was very solid build. Karakas+krenko=2 krenko's ablty in 1 turn.

@gobolord, i won 0 first games in the top 8th. So thalia just makes your sb like 18 cards.

    3-1 last night

    UW Standstill 2-1
I lost G2 because I let him hit me with a factory a bunch of times rather than break a Standstill. i didn't have a Waste. i should have just cracked the Standstill immediately.

    DnT 2-0
How to Beat Death & Taxes...

    Part 2 -
    http://www.twitch.tv/themeadery/v/20735853

    BUG Control 2-1
KikiCombo G1 after my opponent punted. Then I punted with Kiki and Matron in play G2 and my opponent at like 3 life. Boo. G3 I played T1 Vial. he played T1 fetch. I played land T2 and ticked up Vial. he fetched and grabbed a dual, then played Wasteland into Chill. I Vialed in Lackey, Wasted his Dual, and he never played another spell while Lackey and Vial filled my board.

    Elves 1-2
G1 i couldn't get the Sharpshooter online in time
G2 i controlled the board with Pyro and Crafter
G3 I mulled to 4 and actually had a totally decent hand (considering) of Tafire, Skirk, Mountain, Cavern, and scry revealed Chalice on top. Not bad for a mull to 4. But he had Natural Order for Progenitus and that's game.

Misplays? That match was a work of art!

The Matron/Sharpshooter turn let me kill his Stoneforge which ultimately controlled his board more than his Jitte killing Warchief controlled mine. I see what you're saying about Sharping my own Matron to prevent jitte Counters, but killing SFM seemed more important in that board state.

You could easykill sfm with crafter. So no need to put counters on jitte, matron dies anyway, chief will be with you.
P.s. After sfm dies you tap it for dmg to opp and it doesn't untap after that.
You got luck that your opp is so bad

Yeah, you're right, chumping with Matron then Sharping it to prevent Jitte counters would have been better as it would have saved me a Warchief. Crafter could have just killed SFM in my turn. I just saw the opening to kill SFM that turn and I went for it.

I used Sharpshooter to untap correctly, btw. Sharp dealt 1 damage to SFM, then Matron and SFM traded. 2 untap triggers went on the stack. I untapped, dealt 1 to my opponent, then untapped again.

Yeah, that's actually very relavent when it comes to maximizing Sharpshooter. If Pyrokinesis kills 4 creatures, that's four untap triggers on stack. Another common mistake I see is people think they have to tap Sharpshooter preemptively before a creature dies. Let's say there are two bears on the battlefield. You can Tarfire the first bear. The bear dies, and the untap trigger is now on stack. You can then tap Sharpshooter to ping one damage to the other bear. The untap trigger then resolves. Now you can tap Sharpshooter again to finish off the other bear.

Thank you for the clear explanation. I'll admit that I've been misplaying the card and I'm happy to be set right.
@GoboLord, could you add this to the Primer's Sharpshooter section?

@Everyone, please keep of the reports coming. I've been unable to get to many events myself so it's good to hear what's working and not working.

I am glad it helped some of you. The key here is the wording:

"Whenever a creature dies, untap Goblin Sharpshooter."

The creature dying is the only condition for the trigger. There is no condition that Goblin Sharpshooter has to be tapped.

Watch any Max Tietze video where he utilizes Sharpshooter (I think there's a video of him against elves doing it) where he abuses the untap triggers without Sharpshooter being tapped. This 'trick' is very useful, and even more so against unsuspecting opponents who often play into it.

I suppose if Pyrokinesis kills 4 creatures the game is over, sharpshooter or not
