I agree. Judge basics are ugly. Especially since they don't wrap back around. Missed a big chance to do that.

Are they really a true panorama? I think they look more like five individual pieces of art that fade/gradient into each other. None of the landscape changes look natural at all, they just bleed over. Compare them to some of the ones posted, and you'll see what I mean. It's a rough task though, to paint all five land types after each other like that. Some of the Lorwyn ones struggled with two.

I like the forest art though, and the fact that they don't have the post M15 black edge.

@Havrekjex, only the Champion of Kamigawa Islands can do this. For each other land it is more like you described it (so blending one land into another).

that makes me wonder if they recycle old art? Like maybe they didn't like one of the artworks submitted for a card already made and had the artist redo it. Later when they make a promo they use that rejected piece of art... probably paid for at a discount.
