Interesting mechanic. Possibly Painter could see a real playable card in a new set (not this one)? I'll hold my breath.
Cantrip or additional food for welder, doesn't seem too bad. You can crack it at their end-step to keep hand fueled, but empty for bridge during combat. Alas, it seems like an UW mechanic, so we can only hope for white ones.
I'm a bit hyped for the possible RW Nahiri planeswalker, given the art and flavor of Structural Distortion spoiler.

So this just came up:

Is it finally time for a much needed Recruiter reprint?
I'm more interested as to what this does to the metagame, especially at a lower-than-GP/Open level. Are we going to see a huge growth in dual-less decks? Will those decks run shocks/other duals or focus on running more basics? Will Painter be better or worse positioned afterwards, barring new tech?
Blood Moon is only so good against decks that run enough basics to invalidate it, like Explorer decks...
New recruiter; and hopefully possibly that Grindstone reprint with the new art and modern frame. Plus foil....drools.
Painter in new meta won't look so good if basic land decks become more common, but those decks lose consistency without a good mana base so we still have an edge in those matches to come.
Burn and UR Delver are the only "problems" that could increase with more cards, less duals. There's also Nic Fit and Pox, but there's a reason why these aren't played much nowadays.
Mono decks like DnT, Elves, Goblins and such are somewhat affected by Blood Moon since they need some non-dual nonbasics, and matchup aren't bad anyway.
Merfolk and High Tide.. no explanation needed :3
So in total I think we'll be fine, if a meta-change like this will happen at all.
Like others have said, I think this will be a small enough printing that the meta won't shift that much. There has been two modern masters sets and I don't think those did much to the modern meta. Different situation I know but still.

Hey guys, I played the RW version yesterday at my local weekly legacy tournament finishing 3-1.
Lost against Elves (I need advice here because it's not the first time so probably I am doing something wrong about the way I play the matchup), won against a sort of mid-range mix (difficult to explain what it was but let's say a sort of 4colour Bant), Grixis Delver and a legacy version of splinter twin.
Regarding elves, do you always look for a very fast hand otherwise you mulligan? Do you keep all the moons in game 2/3?
I have started playing the deck not a long time ago so I still have to understand a few matchup :-)
Thanks

This is where I'll be for Philly. Only notable changes are 7th blast to the board (felt excessive in game 1s) for the engineered explosives (more utility plus all the likely eldrazi chalice whores)
Then in the board I wanted something that packed a little more punch and figured a second jaya kind of ticks off the most boxes for what I was looking for: recruitable, good vs miracles, good vs chalice, more bomby than anything else. Not the biggest changes but I feel comfortable running this out there. Any thoughts?

What a brainstorm do? Draw card and activate on draw effects fix hand, removing woods

I think its fine, If I was really worried about chalice decks I think I would run a Daretti or something a little more bomby then an EE maindeck. With the biggiest concern being a COTV on one its not like you can tutor for it COTV resolves so I would want something that could play past it while performing a bunch of other functions.
How has the shusher been for you. I have a love/hate relationship with that card
Well I mean its not just for chalice decks. EE isn't really a bad draw in any matchupand at the very least is free welder fodder if it comes down to it. Yes, Daretti is more bomby no one can deny that. But general utility (the removal side is actually a huge draw) is I think a tad better right now.
As for shusher, love/hate is the perfect way to describe the card. I've only been playing it for a few months now and when I'm completely screwed against Miracles it is a god send. Otherwise the card sucks. But given how prevalent the deck is I'm okay with having one slot reserved for getting back into the game against them

Sure, EE is super flexible which is probably its biggest selling point, I was running it in my 75 up until recently. The problem that I had with EE is that I never E-Tutored for it (There was always a better target) which made it just a fun-of for the most part, basically the same thing with the Scrap Savant. It was just my 2 cents.
Good Luck in Philly (won't make it again, have to leave to got to Boston for work)

Interesting choice the EE main deck, Chalice, I agree, is a very annoying problem unless you have a turn one Welder on the play (so many players underestimate the Welder O_o )...
I have tried Shusher in the side too for a bit, it helps against Chalice too but I have removed it for the moment cause I have only 1/2 miracle players in the shop.
Good luck in Philadelphia :-)
