I appreciate the support, I knew I was going to be in for some razzing when I posted it. My playgroup gives me shit all the time for finding promos more impressive than pack foils. This deck is pretty much trolling actual pimp decks. I prefer Italian as my foreign language cards and promos for the foils, I do live in Colorado and the FTV curling doesn't seem to be an issue here (yes dry air is good for something!)

You're on your own with the FTV foiling though... I am still praying I will get a Grove of the Burnwillows with the FTV art, but non-foil or the normal foiling.

Well it is true, but at some extend.

I cant post a full eng non foil deck and claim its something special because its full eng, same for fron the shit cards, most of them have the same value as a non foil version o the card, and they basicly are the worst possible version of any card, i already want to shot people in the face when they play a beta lotus into a FTV mystical, but at least thats the only foil version of it and a super pimped version of the card isnt there, i cringe when people with a pimped storm deck play the fucking ftv petals but again if you value consistency over a non glossy and fugly card its allright, going full promo and ftv by choice will probably be not so cool for the most of us pimpers.


But still, "pimping is in the eye of the beholder" is true, for example is just HATE Alexander fetches and im happy with my foil japanese ktk ones, people can dislike them but i dont really care

But there are also many objectively shit-tier ones (Judge STP, "textless" Bolt, "textless" Cryptic Command, Judge Damnation, 1st Judge Wasteland to name a few).

haha I actually like the first Judge Wasteland. Carl Critchlow is one of the better artists imo (yeah yeah I know it's rejected mirrodin swamp art but whatever, it's still cool looking) and a few times I've had opponents not play around wasteland when they should because they didn't recognize what the card was due to the odd art.

Was there ever a consensus reached as to which Force of Will will end up being more pimp? I'm finishing up foiling out my Shardless deck and I cant decide which ones to get. Judge foils are technically the "OG" printing (at least for foil) and have a better border and no ugly holo stamp, but EMA FoW has objectively better art (I'm agnostic on on the giant text box star on the judge foils but I know a lot of people here despise that). EMA would also lead to more set consistency in Shardless assuming Baleful Strix and Shardless Agent are in the set.

On the other hand, you can get Force of Will from the EMA set, along with matching Polluted Delta, Wasteland, Tarmogoyf, Vendilion Clique and i heard that Shardless Agent is also going to get a reprint with foil being available. Aside of that, while i do like the original over reprint, the artworks of mentioned cards are pretty nice as well. Perhaps we might even get Hymn in EMA set.

The EMA art for FoW, while nice, seems too generic. Just like the art for the Judge FoWs—generic counterspell art. That said, Judge FoWs still classify as the top-most-tier of FoW pimpage because they are a pretty foil. Also, they're the most expensive ones out there, and cost certainly factors into pimpage tier.
