In Modern Tron, new Ulamog seems to be more popular too.

There's like one or two decks in legacy which are interested in or capable of playing 10+ mana spells and they both had new Ulamog tagged right from the beginning.
Some of my friends sell records,
some of my friends sell drugs.

There aren't many contexts where the old Ulamog is better. The only reason I've come up with to play the old one is in janky Sunforger decks where you want to Signal the Clans for the old versions of Ulamog, Kozilek, and Emrakul so you can discard one for the reshuffle trigger.

Not really a "combo" but a random fun interaction:

Quiet Speculation for 3 Deep Analysis and Curious Humonculous - Next turn it flips, cast 3 Deep Analysis for UUU (it's ability should reduce cost of flashback) lost 9 life, draw 6 and attack for 6.

Again, not that great, but I thought it was a fun little interaction.

Also fun with Lingering Souls - upkeep, pay BBB and attack for 6 and have 6 1/1 flyers left.

Also as already mentioned on this thread -quiet speculation really helps bring down the cost of Chaos Reveler.

You know, that's actually a very good point. Quiet Speculation has always been a powerful card in search of buddies, and both Humonculous and Reveler seem like potential best buds. I'm envisioning a deck full of Humonculous, Reveler, and probably a few well-placed Delve spells that would really maximize all involved. Interesting.

Well I guess from the following cards - you mix and match until we have a deck that works?

    -Creature Package
    4 Delver
    X Chaos Reveler
    X Curious Homunculi
    X Monastery Mentor

    -Blue Prowess Package
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Force of Will
    X Ponder
    X Gitaxian Probe
    X Spell Pierce

    -Flash Back
    4 Quiet Speculation
    X Cabal Therapy
    X Lingering Souls
    X Deep Analysis
    X Lava Dart

    -Other Non-Green Spells
    X Thoughtseize
    X Swords to Plowshare
    X Lightning Bolt
    X Chain Lightning
    X Price of Progress

    -Possible Combo with Quiet Speculation
    X Spellweiver Helix
    1-2 Army of the Damned

    -Lands
    16-20 ?

Hrm. But many of those Flashback cards are either not synergistic or just plain bad. What about using Intuition instead of Quiet Speculation? Homonculous makes the former only cost 1U.

Cabal Therapy seems solid with Monastery Mentor/Young Pyromancer. The cost reduction from voracious reader (transformed homunculus) works on flashback costs , so Deep Analysis is U for +2 CA - almost as good as Treasure Cruise.

    ...chaos reveler...
I assume you mean Bedlam Reveler. Momentary blink probably isn't good enough for the draw 3 synergy there.

This might actually be a deck for the Vintage-style Intuition/AK package in a UR Delver deck with Homunculus/SCM/Delver/Reveler/YP as a creature package.

Bedlam Reveler is the other rare in the Niblis of Frost Intro Pack. If you had Reveler pegged for speculation purposes, sorry bro.

Twenty Kavus and a Dream is NOT a Legacy deck.

Wait, do people actually still buy boosters other than for limited?

    Why

If they don't buy packs then we can't have a secondary market.

Also noobs, casual, go read around the g+ mtg community and see all the casuals.

European booster packs are fine from what I've read. Only American ones (English) are fucked.

Caleb Durward is currently streaming a pretty interesting, experimental Bant Spirit deck for Modern with Collective Company.

I could see it actually having potential in Legacy if you go UW instead and supplement the Cavern of Souls with Aether Vial. Besides giving access to more uncounterable threats, it also increases the number of ways to gain flash. It also has high resilence due to counters and hexproof, kinda like Counterslivers.

    Cards would include stuff like:
    Drogskol Captain
    Rattlechains
    Mausoleum Wanderer
    Selfless Spirit
    Spell Queller

I'm sure there's more stuff to discover like various 1-drop Spirits or splashing black for Lingering Spirits. Or Geist of Saint Traft + Tallowisp toolbox. Or just plain instant speed Spirit of the Labyrinth due to Vial/Rattlechains, although that screw with your own cantrips.

Sounds interesting. Do you have a decklist?

Nope, as Caleb hasn't a concrete list himself. I just threw it in for discussion.

You must have a different format in mind of you say "Legacy". It's not like similar decks like meathooks or Meerfolk are actually metagame relevant
