I'm very unsure about this, because delver decks often present a very fast clock so that you can't afford to get wastelanded or to pay 2 extra life.

I don't bring Boseju in against Delver. It's just too likely to get Wasted. Depending on which Delver variant you're playing you should be able to get to a point where you can out counter them. If you have extra Show and Tells you can play them as bait, even if you don't have anything to put into play with them. If Delver is really giving you problems then you want Defense Grid in your sideboard, it's much better against Delver than Boseiju is.

Overall I find that RUG Delver is not that difficult because all they have to fight against us are counterspells. BUG and Grixis are much harder because they pack discard as well as countermagic.

There are a lot of times you just die with a bunch of Omniscience and no way to get them into play. I've been liking the streamlined approach. You get some of the raw power of Sneak without being stonecold dead to certain cards.

My biggest hurdle so far has been using Griselbrand properly. Sure, most of the time you just plop him into play and draw to your heart's desire, but sometimes it's not as simple as that.
To be honest, I'll also say that there was the first time I played Omni-Attack, so is perfectly possible that I've misplayed a lot (I'm not precisely the best player in the world ). Anyway I feel more comfortable playing Omni-Tell.

I play a version with 2 Boseiju main and 1 side plus 19 other lands. I side out the 2 Boseijus for almost each match other than miracles. I don't feel like these are necessary versus Delver.

Game 2 he played Ethersworn Canonist, slowing me down a little. The fun play of the day came when I played Show and Tell putting Omniscience and he deployed Tidehollow Sculler and saw Cunning Wish and Massacre. He said "luckily I don't have any Plains in play" and exiled Cunning Wish. I passed the turn, he hit me with his critters and send the turn back. Then, when I play Massacre for free, he said "but I have no Plains!"... and I pointed to my Omniscience . I wipe his board, get back my Cunning and win from there. 3-1.
Just for the records, tutoring Massacre with Cunning Wish is not a legal play (Massacre is a sorcery).

I love the fact than this version can easily start without Show and Tell, and then enter to infinite into the victory

Imo the mono blue version is the least viable version in the current meta.

Thoughtseize is necessary evil these days...

I don't know if you also observe the other Omnitell thread, it seems very silent there... :(
I just wanted to let you know that I have expressed my thoughts on Brain in a Jar in the U/R Omnitell thread. It is a slow card, but has a lot of potential (pairs nicely with Burning Wish).

I would love to hear what you think about it and have a vital discussion on it.

Just got into this deck (and SnS as well), so probably don't take my comment too seriously. I do play Legacy since the beginning of the format, though nowadays not as much as I used to. The first arguments against Brain in a Jar that come to mind:

    - 2 cmc, and then it's not live.

Ok, a solland can put it into plat t1, but with no ability to put a counter on it.

    - additional 1 mana and activation to get a counter on it.

This means it's dead the moment in comes into play (as described above).

So, it feels like you would be making yourself slower:

    - t1: solland, jar,
    - t2: activate jar (1), land
    - t3: untap jar with (1), put a second counter on it or use it?

You really really slowing yourself down. I see potential in this card if it would be like Aether Vial. Now it just seems slow, and you could put your mana to better use during each turn

The way I see it, Brain in a Jar is slow, gives the opponent's Abrupt Decays a target that otherwise they would not have, and doesn't make uncounterable Show and Tell (it would be decent in this case). I don't see what card(s) should we remove from the decklist to include Brain neither.

    Re: [Deck] MonoU OmniTell

I've been playing a very different take on OmniTell to good results. It's a UW Miracles-inspired build that I think addresses the inherent issues this deck has as a slow, 3-card combo deck that's vulnerable to lots of hate.

I've actually tried something similar for awhile, but your list is probably more streamlined. I would say miracles is not a cakewalk, once they establish countertop things can get a little spicy. I didn't play any predicts, instead going for a jace and a couple extra terminus. I agree that trickbind seems to be a necessary evil. Don't forget that you can realistically cast omniscience 'the regular way' with all the sol lands around, so if there is no pressure to make a quick SnT then don't do it.

Not especially. Did you know that Miracles plays 4 Red Blasts and 3 Flusterstorms now? And the most popular Delver deck plays Cabal Therapy? Not auspicious.

    Hey everyone!
With the recent S&T reprint in conspiracy, I'm considering buying into this deck. I'm mostly looking for a fun (but strong) deck to play when I dont feel like playing miracles.

Where can I find a good up to date list? Is there some primer/good articles about the deck out there?

One last question: are the city of traitors essential to the deck? It seems I've missed the right time to buy those :)

This deck is both fun and strong (Almost feels like vintage level strong) so you've come to the right place.

My list from back in April is basically where the deck is right now. Some people have been tweaking a few cards, but it'll at least be a good starting point for you.

    Omni-Tell 9th Place
    Sam Krohlow
    SCG Legacy Classic 4.17.16
    Columbus, OH

    4 Omniscience
    4 Preordain
    2 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
    4 Ponder
    4 Thoughtseize
    2 Boseiju, Who Shelters All
    1 Sensei's Divining Top
    4 Polluted Delta
    4 Flooded Strand
    4 Cunning Wish
    1 Swamp
    5 Island
    2 Daze
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Show and Tell
    2 Ancient Tomb
3 Lim-Dul's Vault (SCG put 4, which is an error)
    4 Force of Will
    2 Underground Sea

    Sideboard
    1 Toxic Deluge
    1 Firemind's Foresight
    1 Flusterstorm
    1 Noxious Revival
    1 Ravenous Trap
    1 Release the Ants
    1 Slaughter Pact
    1 Pact of Negation
    1 Trickbind
    1 Wipe Away
    1 Engineered Explosives
    1 Echoing Truth
    1 Eladamri's Call
    1 Rushing River
    1 Rebuild

There aren't really any primers/articles out there on the deck that I know of, but a lot of info on this version started being posted about page 116 (including my tourney report) so I would read from there forward, with extra emphasis on any post that emidln wrote.

City of Traitors is definitely not necessary in this deck. I don't even play them right now. Ancient Tomb will work just fine.

Feel free to ask any questions about card choices or how certain lines of play work.

    Hey there folks,

Top 4'd the main Legacy event (62 players) at the TOP European Series here in Barcelona this last Saturday. The decklist can be found here:

    http://www.mtgtopseries.eu/main.php?...idt=11&idev=74

I don't think I'll write a report because I don't remember clearly some rounds. I can say that I was extremely lucky with the pairings in the Swiss; I won vs Death and Taxes 2-1, Jund 2-0, Lands 2-1 and Burn 2-0 and ID'd 5th and 6th rounds into Top 8. There I won 2-1 vs Omni-Attack (playing awfully) and lost Top 4 0-2 to Merfolks. And obviously I had a great time playing the deck!

The whole weekend was a blast. I also Top 8'd in the Vintage main event and got my Ponders, Emrakuls, Necro-Impotence and Chaos Confetti altered by Mark Tedin. Too bad the assistance was very low!

    Congrats on your finish

Since i'm new to the Deck, what actually is Trickbind for? And against which decks do you board Engineered Explosives?
