I made Top 8 with the list in this post: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/s...l=1#post966973
Only like 52ish players so nothing crazy. I faced Welder.dec (W 2-0), Hexmage Depths (L 1-2), Miracles (W 2-0), Reanimator (W 2-1), Miracles (W 2-1), and Elves (W 2-1). Then I lost in Top 8 to lordofthepit on Miracles. He fired off 3 Terminus and 2 STP in Game 1. In Game 2 he fired off 4 Terminus and 4 STP.

Next sunday I'm gonna take the elves back out for a little stroll in the dangerzone. I'm expecting a meta with mainly: Miracles, Death & Taxes, Lands and ANT.
Any suggestions on the SB? This is my current SB:
3 TS
2 Cabal Therapy
2 Null Rod
2 AD
1 Reclamation Sage
1 Progenitus
1 Teeg
2 Extraction
1 City of Solitude
I'm playing the NO-list again after several failed tourney's with the chaos elves.
Can you explain the reasoning behind the City of Solitude? It stops you from using your Wirewoods/QRangers/DRS on your opponent's turns. That seems like a huge drawback. I can't think of any pros that outweigh those cons.

It's a slot I'm testing against D&T and Miracles. No top shenaningans, no instant speed terminus, forget about Porting in the upkeep, no surprise vialed in creature,... I'm just testing it out. It has negative effects, but I'm willing to give it a try. And since it's a singleton I don't see to much pain in trying it.
So, the weekend and the tourney have past and it was not very eventful. In the end I chickened out and I didn't put the City of Solitude in the SB.
30 players and I went 2-3.
R1 against 4c loam 2-0. Both games a fast combo.
R2 against UWr Stoneblade 0-2. G1 I mull to 4 and never get in the game. G2 I'm manascrewed after he cleans up my T1 DRS and T2 GSZ.
R3 against D&T 0-2. Both games go long and where very fun. Lost each game because I was short on mana due to Thalia and new Thalia. That duo is a beating!
R4 against Infect 2-0. Both games T3 combo.
R5 against Shardless BUG 0-2. G1 I have to mull to 4 and I'm way behind. G2 he has all the answers. I open with TS and see: DRS, Decay, Deluge and 4 land. I take the deluge. T2 I play a critter, he decays it. T3 again critter on my side, decay on his end. T4 critter and Liliana on his end. T5 nothing for me, Hymn on his side and discrad from Lili. Yeah, no chance anymore and after Shardless into Goyf it's all over.
So a very uneventful day and something to quickly forget.
Interesting to see that you lost 0-2 against really good MUs while winning the even/hard ones. Sometimes variance hits you hard.
I'm surprised you fire of a thoughtseize against Shardless.
Why do you board them in?
You also seem to mull a lot. What are the reasons for them?
Yeah, sometimes those things happen.
I boarded the Thoughtseizes in because I really wanted to interact with his hand. I saw his Sb a few rounds before and noted the giant amount of removal in it (Deluge, the GB charm, Plague).
The majority of my mulligans where because I didn't have any T1 lands in it. Or because I had a hand with more than 4 lands.
Before I'm off to yet another Kenya gig, a short update: Went 7-2 at the Bazaar of Moxen Paris this week, good enough to miss Top8 on tiebreakers in 11th place (~200 players). This is how my tournament went and what I played:

R7: UR Delver, 0-2 LOSS
R8: 4c Delver, 2-0 WIN
R9: Infect, 2-0 WIN
7-2 for 11th place out of ~200.
Deck felt great as usual, sideboard was also sweet even though I didn't really need much of it except for Jitte and Decays.
This finish also means that I'm qualified (via points) for the 10k€ BoM Super Finals in November! :-))
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
Really like the new elf with reach from Kaladesh Highspire Artisan

I'd think if you really need to deal with flyers, Lys Alana Bowmaster would be a better choice.
A 1/4 for three mana and you guys actually spent more than one message to discuss it? Stop that.
Some of my friends sell records,
some of my friends sell drugs.
I have played a bit with Ezuri's Archers and been moderately satisfied. It costs one, kill delver, is good vs infect and has utility vs D&T.
It is currently out of the SB thought, but among the reach guys, he's the best by far.
