How often do you find yourself gsz'ing for dryad arbor t1?
Even if it leads into a strong t2 play, I find myself holding onto it for a better play later.
A turn 1 GSZ for Dryad Arbor puts you ahead of your opponent, so if the hand has ~2 other threats then I do it almost always. The deck has so many pieces that get online as the game progresses (pfire, loam, other mana sinks and strong topdecks) that I'm happy to "burn a card" to get myself into that situation
If the hand is 2-3 removal spells, lands and a GSZ then the GSZ is your only threat and you have to save it (if that hand is even a keep)
Went 10-4-1 at GP Louisville for 125th place. I met NEELEY during the players meeting and was able to talk to him for a bit and pick his mind on the deck. I played the Dark Depths Stage combo (and in doing so played 61 cards). I liked having the combo in, and closed out 3 games during the weekend very quickly. After watching Mats stream last week I was far more aggressive with Life from the Loam, and I often won with my opponent having zero or one land in play. If anyone wants to see the deck and the match ups I can post that when I have more time tonight.

grats on the finish.
i'm interested to know if you ran stage/depths AND/OR liliana.
it would seem that the general consensus is to run one or the other due to straining the mana base.
What is the stream link to Neeley's Loam streams?
So I don't stream, because I have 2 little girls and have to leave the computer very often. I have streamed very briefly in the past with no camera or voice. If people would be interested in a silent stream I could. The guy who kills it on mtgo with loam twitch user name is Mats_
My twitch name now is Neeleyd. If I do decide to do a stream I'll post here earlier in the day. I usually play at 7pm eastern time when my wife has to work.
You're on the play against a unknown matchup and you have the option to go either turn one dark confidant or turn one chalice on one. Is chalice on one just generally the correct play?
Totally unknown? Probably Chalice - Confidant is better in most fair matchups right now so Chalice is a better check for a counters, and the earlier Chalice comes down the better it is.
Chalice has a higher potential impact.. in that it basically wins some percentage of games if resolved on T1. It also protects Bob. And its gets worse if not cast much faster than Bob.
Chalice is really most of the reason why this deck is played :D I mean, Loam is a prison deck, and chalice is one of it's jails.
BTW, bringing this beauty to Brazil's National Open Legacy, let's see how it fares. It's a pretty standard list, with DD Combo of course, because I really like to have the option to go for it if needed. The sideboard is like this:
Garruk Relentless
Toxic Deluge
2x Thoughtseize
2x Thalia
3x Sword to Plowshares
Reclamation Sage
3x Leyline of the Void
Golgari Charm
Chandra Flamecaller (still haven't been properly able to try her out, but I'm saving her solely for the Miracles matchup. Opinions?)
I'm expecting to see i nthe early rounds a ton of combo of all sorts, players in brazil sure love combos. And also some burn. If I make it to have a nice winrate I should probably see the other fair blue decks up in the ladder.
So far so good in the tourney. 150+ players, ended the first day 6-2, on 13th. Tomorrow is gonna have me play 4 more rounds before top8.
Running actually a different sideboard list, on the last minute, with the crop rotation package.
Matches so far were DnT, Miracles, Bug land destruction (loss), grixis delver, uw stoneblade, miracles again (different player, lost) and then ug infect.
I really love the Dd combo, so many wins out of the blue.
Played Monthly yesterday.
R1: Eldrazi 2-1
R2: Bug Leovold Midrange 1-2
R3: Bug Reid Duke List 2-0
R4: Show and Tell 2-1
R5: ID
T8:TurboDepths 2-1
T4: Eldrazi 2-0
Finals: Split(opponent from R2)
Cards tested:
Renegade Rallier - Very impactful card if you maneuver it right. Was an one-of.
Kolaghan's Command - Never casted it, but every discard was pointed at it. Got potential IMO.
Regular List with 24 lands, Shaman, 1Library and 2 Lilis
Any comments, fire away.

I'm gonna start testing K Command in the SB too, probably over the 3rd STP because Eldrazi is on a downswing and grindy BUG is on the rise. I agree that it has a lot of potential, I would imagine that in most matchups it is better than your worst card because it's so versitile.
I've played Command for a long time and have been very happy with it.
EDIT: Has anyone tried Tireless Tracker at all? I'm tempted to try it, but I don't know what to cut. Sylvan Library and/or Dark Confidant are the obvious choices, but I'm not convinced that cuttimg either is great.
Awesome results!
I played a lot of Khlaghan's Command in Jund, it was a blast, specially in a deck where you have 4 Tarmogoyfs. Gotta try it out in Loam. Theres also the new Escalate black card which sounds fun.
As for myself day 2 didn't go as smooth.. lost the 9th and 10th rounds and dropped :/ Apparently the winner was the miracles who defeated me.
I think I need more practice against miracles. Agains Stefano (this player), I won the G1 and was like YES, now i just board in Slaughter Games and its a win. And then his sideboard was so much stronger - it started by Wear/Tear my Mox Diamond followed by Surgical Extraction. Then Blood Moon. Next turn? Blood Moon. And the same happened on G3. To my own fault I insisted in the same mistakes - Should I have played lands and left the mox in my hand I'd have probably have had a better chance that third game. Oh well, lessons.
Day two I started facing Sneak Show and it compeltely destroyed me: he countered both turn 1 and turn 2 Chalice for One. Then turn 3 he plays Sneak Attack, and the following turn I draw Gaddock. G2 I fall into another Blood Moon trap after he counters my Thoughtseize. I actually manage to go for beatdown plan with Bob and Dryad Arbor before he plays blood moon, but then Sneak Attack drops again and it's game.
The second round of the day was the second DnT I faced - the new creatures are quite powerful. Once again I won the first game and G2 I got overwhelmed by Aether Vial without proper answers. G3 I got imprisoned by that minion 3 costed which names a number and you cant cast spells of said number - he casted for 2, blocking (Im not joking) 2 punishing fires and 2 abrupt decays in hand. My only hopes for the amtch are drawing into Toxic Deluge or one of the 3 Sword to Plowshares, which don't happen.
Still not too bad, top 32 for playing after 6 months is a ok for me.
Nice run overall.
I think playing your moxes against Miracles is fine. If they want to burn removal on a Mox then that's fine. They are a hedge against Blood Moon so they really need to get both removal and the Moon to lock you out.
What was your Crop Rotation board? Did you like it?
Sneak and Show is a bit of a mixed bag matchup. You can slow them down significantly with Chalices and then are able to use hate bears like Teeg to stop Sneak, or Knight into Karakas to answer simple Show and Tells. Sometimes though they just have it and can force through their 3 or 4 cc "I win" skill card.
Did you play Lilianas?
