PREFACE:
Hi guys! I've being doing that monthly metagame research I've already told you about, It's been more than two years and I think it's time for me to start sharing it more actively with the community here. Though it was written initially for the spanish audience, as time goes by, I've being putting more and more effort into preparing them, covering a wider specter of tournaments and changing the rating system to make it more "accurate". Since the beginning of 2010 a new rating system has being carried out:
To see the Tier Decks full history, click here.(SEE FULL ORIGINAL IN SPANISH)
1- The Legacy Tier Decks section consists on a Legacy archetype ranking elaborated from tournament data on a monthly basis.
2- Tournament Top 8's from +33 people events will be considered, which assumes a minimun of 6 rounds of swiss. We try to compile as much data as possible, in other words, we seach not only deckcheck but also many international forums and club webpages. However I sometimes know of valid tournaments that cannot be included due to lack of information.
3- Each placement will be valued with one point for each round passed, including both swiss and Top 8 rounds.
4- Splitting prizes in Top 8 will be valued at the author's discretion. If valued, ID'ing won't count as passing a round, e.g.: splitting Top 4 means that Top 4 players have only passed one more round than the rest of Top 8 players. I'm conscient that there are many splits we don't hear about, but I if I hear of it, I'm forced to value that. That's what the "at the author's discretion" clause is for.
5- Archetype categorizarion is a subjective topic. Some archetypes include a wide specter of lists which may differ in several cards, while other archetypes are very specific. These categories change frequently according to metagame changes, with the aim of being as useful as possible. Categories stablished by the author are completely open to suggestion and criticism.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
This month has been crazy. I got to count 47 +33 man events in the world, 19 of them in Spain. The national Legacy scene is not that huge though there is life beyond deckcheck. It's just that in two weeks we are hosting, ehm, the frakin GP Madrid, and almost any GPT has had a huge assistance. That mades 19 +33 people events in a month. Of course I'm conscient that I missed some GPTs in other countries, but seriously, I do search several forums. Google Tranlate and I did our best, but seaching Benelegacy.nl can be tough for a romance language speaker. However, I believe the results are pretty interesting for GP Madrid, with tournaments being 40% spanish, 47% european and 13% beyond the seas.
As I always say, this is not intended to be a mathematical demonstration of anything, I just try to shed some light on the topic. For further comments I can address you to the original spanish update, wich can be useful if you're studying spanish or something.
Hope it helps and forgive my probable linguistic limitations.

We tried to copy the Source, but then we realized we're spanish

Very good job! Informative and thorough.
Nice work! I'm surprised how many Tendrils decks see play. The sentiment that you almost certainly won't play against Tendrils appears to no longer be true, which isn't surprising. More Zoo and less Counterbalance should result in more Tendrils.
That Final ranking includes:
2 Aggro
2 Combo
6 Aggro Control, across the spectrum from the tempo based Canadian Thresh and Merfolk on one end, and Aggro Loam and Bant Survival on the other end.
The format sure looks healthy. It's interesting that Zoo picked up twice as many placements as the decks in 4th through 9th place.
InfoNinjas
Two black decks making top 8, and both are supersonic combo decks. Yeah!![]()
This is awesome data, thank you for compiling it. Are you including all 33+ man tournaments you can find? The amount overseas (including US) seems low, but I'm guessing that's just because we don't have as many big tournaments as frequently.
Find me on Twitter at @JMJACO and @EternalCentral. If you have an interest in Vintage Eldrazi, check out my book Eldrazi Meditations.
I include everything I can find. For Legacy Tournaments in the US I usually just check deckcheck and The Soure, and sometimes SCG.
