Cascade is in every color. The blue cascade cards are:

    Deny Reality
    Ardent Plea
    Enigma Sphinx
    Kathari Remnant
    Stormcaller's Boon

Remember also that cascade was in a set where every card was multicolored.

As for the flying guy: so they took Tidehollow Strix, removed a point of power, and added a cantrip? Interesting, though not really a marked improvement as far as Legacy is concerned: both cards are likely still unplayable.

...As far as I know, Cascade was never any color's specific part of the pie. There are seven blue cards from Alara Reborn with Cascade.

EDIT: Ninja'd by A_Z, who's post is much more thorough too. :P

What's the point in complaining about colours? In tournament magic you should play the best cards and not give a damn about the type of ink they use to print the card. Colour is only relevant when building mana bases or talking about cards which refer to some specific colour.

Complaining about different colours is purely a casual topic. It should have no place in serious discussion regarding tournament magic.

Yeah, no. Colour balance is a pretty important part of the balance of a general tournament environment. Talking about what makes a healthy competitive format is no less serious than talking about how to best exploit that particular format's lack of health.

No-one's saying "well this is clearly the best card, but I won't play it because it's blue". They're saying "Standard/Modern/Legacy whatever risk becoming worse formats because of blue getting so many great creatures in addition to its spells".

I still fail to see colours having much to do with anything but the flavor. There are cards existing that absolutely can keep the format from becoming heavily mono-coloured, if that's what people are afraid of.

The game was designed with five different colours in mind but when I play tournament magic, I hardly think of colour balance, as it's pretty much irrelevant from the mathematical or technical point of view. When I choose or build a deck, I determine which decks I want to win with it and build accordingly. Of course it's a handy shortcut: if I hear that everybody plays blue cards, I consider to play my Chokes and red blasts. But that's about it.

As I mentioned earlier, what colours actually heavily affect, is the mana base of your deck. And you can reduce that to playing with mostly basics or non-basics.

I believe the ban list exists to keep the game balanced. It's not players' job to do that.

Anyway, this appears to be off topic now as there seems to be some discussion about some cascade dude going on here. Just dropped by to address the comments regarding one of it's colours being blue - a complaint I thought was highly out of place.

I can see that guy in a G/W/b maverick list... Cascading into 90% of the deck... Seems good to me. Can also be a green sun target if you need blockers.. What are your thoughts on this ?

The UB deathtouch cantrip guy could go into some UWb blade deck. Pitches to force and acts as pseudo removal and cantrips and flies and carries equips? Pretty nice for 2. Could go well with Clique, Giest and Lingering Souls.

GSZ wouldn't be good with this guy. First of all, that's four mana, good luck resolving that against RUG. Secondly, I believe Cascade only triggers if you 'cast' the spell with cascade, i.e. it does not trigger as it 'enters the battlefield'.

The card would have been an instant Legacy staple if it cost UG or UB. At 1UG, its unlikely to see much, if any competitive play. At least with the RUG Bloodbraid Elf deck, you are getting some instant value due to haste.

Unfortunately, casting GSZ for a cascade dude doesn't give you the cascade trigger. Even worse, when you cast the cascade dude naturally, sometimes you'll flip into a GSZ (which you'll have to cast for X=0). Worst of both worlds.

After adding Clique, Geist, Lingering Souls, Snapcaster, and Stoneforge to the deck, I suspect there's no more room for creatures, particularly not ones with anemic bodies attached to a cantrip.

It reminds me of Coiling Oracle of all things.

I'll still try it out. I do like the idea of a cheap cascade. I had wanted one when I was still playing with Alara in standard. I do wish the colors had been GU though. I could have built around that a lot easier.

I definitely think it will see some use though it still has that coiling oracle problem. You love the card, know it's good, have no spot to put it into a deck.

This one looks more playable than most everything else we've seen from PC2.

Perhaps Faerie Stompy will like this guy.

This was my first idea as well. Although Faerie Stompy doesn't suffers from a bad creature base (there are enough playables costing 2U), but rather from the inherent inconsistency a stompy list comes with. The Angel should nevertheless be a welcome addition. Additionally, I think that this one isn't limited to just Faerie Stompy, but might have broader applications as well. We'll see...

Indeed I was also thinking that perhaps Illusions could eventually develop into a decent tribe. Right now Illusions have...

    Veiled Sentry
    Phantasmal Bear
    Imaginary Pet
    Phantasmal Image
    Illusory Angel
    Lord of the Unreal

Mirror Entity might also be playable since it can turn Lord of the Unreal into an Illusion to give your entire team hexproof... as well as turn them into super soldiers.
Luck is a residue of design.

Faerie Stompy was generally one cheap awesome flying beater away from having a realllllly solid creature base (and not have to dip into Esperzoa or something). Illusory Angel looks like it could fit pretty well.

Still somewhat rumory, otherwise it'd be listed here:

From what I've read, it's now 1GU for a 2/2 cascade, not UB.

I knew it would be UG instead of UB, but being 3cc was new to me. In that case, nobody is going to play it in Legacy; while it might be powerful when it cascades into a 2cc card, it's going to be next to useless when it doesn't. And you don't want a 3 mana card that's good only half of the time.
