I had really high hopes for this. That was until the decided to print a black enchantment.
Everyone knew it: This YMTC should have printed a red creature with manacost , 2/1 First strike and a stand-alone good ability.

    Instead we get this shit...

The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

There's nothing wrong with black enchantments. Black has fucking awesome enchantments.

People wanted a Necropotence variant or a decent engine enchantment (see: fucking awesome black enchantments).

However, Wizards fucked us over by giving us these shitty choices which are bad to downright insulting (Mass Mummification). If a good chunk of the entries were Necropotence variants, then give us a goddamn Necropotence variant as choice.

And you can bet your ass that they'll give us horrible overcosted mana costs as choices just because.

Black Enchantments have the potential to be downright awesome but the last time I really liked one was probably Recurring Nightmare. And that one was hardly an Enchantment but actually a sorcery with free buyback. I just don't see them printing anything close to Necropotence in current Standard/Modern.

A little child inside me has strong intentions of making fun of them by mass-voting for the most ridiculous mana cost they suggest. Something like

    /edit: Forgot about Bitterblossom.

How is Blood in the Watering Can awful? This card has serious competitive potential as long as it isn't over-costed.

Think about Blood like this: Every turn you get a creature from your graveyard back into your hand. The triggering condition is trivially easy to achieve, especially in Legacy. Fetchlands, Dark Confidant, Thoughtseize, Bitterblossom, combat damage, Force of Will, are all great cards that are good on their own that trigger Blood.

Comparing Blood to Oversold Cemetary is an insult to Blood. Cemetary requires that you already have a whopping FOUR creatures in your graveyard, which is tough to do in all but those decks specifically built to do that. And then, when you start to use the Cemetary, it actively depletes your graveyard, thus preventing you from further using it!

Blood, on the other hand, can be triggered almost at-will by any kind of deck. You are practically guaranteed the use of its card-advantage generating ability and you don't have to play bad cards just to support it.

    Awwww yiss.

I really don't care if Revenge of Necromancy is any good or not, it beats the piss out of Blood in the Watering Can. I'm voting for that thing.

Then, the ultimate reversal would be if it ended up being broken with show and tell, and we all get punished by it.

It's also worth noting that blood in the watering can can be triggered on each player's turn. You can chump block with a guy and if you still take some combat damage, you get that guy right back. It also works nicely with faerie macabre to lock out graveyard decks.

The current Revenge of necromany needs to be cheap to be useful, if they rather would make it player instead of opponent they can actually push the mana even. Hope they push the text more into an engine card rather then just some casual thing.

Blood will probly cost at least 3 mana its way to easy to get that thing triggered the same turn it enters the battlefield, if it cost 2 mana its really pushed. Fetch and shocklands as well as combat damage will trigger it.

None of them will probly be playable in legacy.

Voting for the Revenge, blood is gonna cost to much mana.

I just want them to print RoN about like 1/2. Ritual, RoN, Thoughtseize, my choice of card advantage. Next turn, start with the Cabal Therapy nuts. Seems real good to me. The biggest drawback to discard is that it is a lousy topdeck that doesn't give you any gas or advance your board position at all. Turning Duress into a cantrip (or Cabal Therapy into +2 cards) seems like a real good way to keep gas in your hand without "doing nothing" on your side of the board.

If we're talking just generally awesome and not Legacy playable specifically, I've enjoyed a number of them:

    Grave Betrayal
    Dawn of the Dead
    Debtors' Knell
    Oversold Cemetery
    Phyrexian Reclamation
    Endless Whispers
    Phyrexian Arena
    No Rest for the Wicked

Going only with ones that are variants on the same theme as Watery Shit.

But yeah, this competition went to shit the moment they decided not to risk a Necro reprint, and has only gone downhill from there.
For my confessions, they burned me with fire/
And found I was for endurance made

Because it's weaker than numerous other cards that don't see play.

Even if it cost one mana, which it won't, it's questionable if it would be Legacy playable. And by questionable I mean almost certainly not.

If Blood in the Watering Can costs 3 mana or less, I don't see how it isn't played in multiple Legacy decks. The ability is just too strong at such a cost. Constantly recurring creatures for no mana? Ridiculously easy to achieve triggering condition?

What cards is it weaker than?

Blood is so much more powerful than Oversold Cemetary based on card text alone that it's not even funny. Cemetary is weak because its triggering condition requires you to have 4 creatures in your graveyard, and then when you begin to use the Cemetary, you are preventing yourself from using it in the future.

Whereas Blood's trigger is basically a fait accompli any time you wish to use the card. And you don't have to play bad cards (like you have to build a deck around stuffing your graveyard to make Cemetary work) to support it, because you can play good cards like Fetchlands, Dark Confidant, Thoughtseize, etc that are good on their own that trigger it. Combat damage will also trigger it.

Comparing Blood to Oversold Cemetary is ridiculous and speaks of a lack of understanding of the game. I mean, how can you possibly even entertain the notion that Oversold Cemetary is remotely as good as Blood in the Watering Can after reading the conditions on their triggers?

Because it doesn't trigger til the end step and Graveyard hate is a thing in Legacy. Deathrite and Rest in Peace are played maindeck after all and Blood in the Watering Can does target.

Using the "graveyard hate!" argument in this instance is like saying "Tarmogoyf dies to removal".

If we abandoned all things that are strong and powerful just because they are vulnerable to graveyard hate, then no one would play things like Punishing Fire, or Life from the Loam, or Tarmogoyf, or Snapcaster Mage...

'Double Down' is a shitty name, but it would have been quite explosive with dredge and any other mass graveyard fillers.

'Revenge of Necromancy' may also be stronger than you think - though a lot depends on CC.
