It was a typo, meant to say not by t4 (I count fizzles from t5 on), but it wasn't very far from the truth anyways, although my last set I added a bunch of t3's so the speed a dropped a little. I play out Ad Nauseams since ANT isn't the best there, no EtW in the list. This is still fast, and probably explained by the fact that half of them were on the draw, although there was surprisingly little difference between the play and draw (still 1-17-17-3-2 on the play, but had more of the mulls on the draw), being able to play 2-3 lands and 1-3 cantrips is what mattered more than an extra card.
Goldfishes: 80
Turn-1: 3 - 3.75% - 3.75%
Turn-2: 32 - 40% - 43.75%
Turn-3: 33 - 41.25% - 85%
Turn-4: 5 - 6.25% - 91.25%
Turn-5/Fizzle: 7 - 8.75% - 100%
Mull%: 20%
Mull5%: 2.5%
List is the 55 basic cards with 4 preordain and ad nauseam (so 6 discard, no empty, no grim, no top, 15 lands).

Oh, ok, this and mullrate explains, still pretty good... I getting to 50% T2 cumulative with +1card, on the other hand -1 card 6 is abysmal - less than 50% on T3... considering less discard, mulliganing and better mulls due to preordain it makes more sense... hard to compare though, your way makes more sense goldfishingwise, I get the completely fine RL keeps like Toa, SDT, discard, ponder 3 lands into sweaty T4 and those discard+petals, 1 land stinkers to play out...
I'll try the list my way and try goldfishing my list your way now on, btw do you keep modes of kill? - how many times was Ad Nauseam involved?
Didn't make note of that, will try to do for the next sessions as it's quite interesting. Ad Nauseam was involved way more than in real games, and surprisingly only fizzled once (still won next turn), usually from about 16-18 (which might not resemble true gameplay..).

I've lurked this thread for a long time while I've been playing storm in my local meta.
I played in the Star City Games IQ in Columbus on Sunday with the following list:
2 Underground Sea
1 Volcanic Island
1 Tropical Island
1 Bayou
1 Island
1 Swamp
4 Polluted Delta
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
4 Lotus Petal
4 Dark Ritual
4 Cabal Ritual
1 Rain of Filth
4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
4 Gitaxian Probe
1 Preordain
1 Sensei's Divining Top
4 Infernal Tutor
2 Tendrils of Agony
2 Past in Flames
4 Cabal Therapy
2 Duress
SB
2 Carpet of Flowers
2 Xantid Swarm
3 Abrupt Decay
2 Chain of Vapor
2 Surgical Extraction
1 Massacre
2 Dread of Night
1 Ad Naseum
This was my first large tournament playing storm.
I played against the following:
Round 1: Alluren
My opponent was running shocks lands and didn't put up any resistance either game. These were fast and brutal. I didn't board anything in.
1-0
Round 2: Death and Taxes
Game 1 he plays vial turn 1. Mom on turn two off vial. Phryexian revoker on turn 3 naming Liliana of the Veil and then he dies when he passes the turn.
Game 2 I have the nut draw and win on my turn 1.
2-0
Round 3: Shardless BUG
Game 1 my opponent is talking through what decks I could be on as I play my first fetch. I fetch basic island and ponder. He says that he thinks I'm on OmniTell. I play a fetch on turn 2 and brainstorm. I then fetch a Volcanic Island and ponder again. This confirms for him that I'm on Omni. Turn 3, I probe paying life and see a hymn and some other cards I don't particularly care about so I drop a fetch and crack it for a Sea and Therapy the Hymn. At this point, the pretense is up as to what I am on but he doesn't have any interaction and he is dead next turn.
Game 2 he lands a turn 1 Deathrite Shaman, turn two Hymn and turn 3 Scavenging Ooze. I didn't bring in the Ad Naseum and he shuts off my Past in Flames lines while smashing face.
Game 3 goes the same with the exception that I board in Ad Naseum and board out 1 Past in Flames. This ended up being a critical mistake as later in game three I have my Flames hymned and removed, but had an opportunity to take another past in flames line from low life for the win if the second copy was still in my main. I end up trying an Ad naseum line and don't get there.
2-1
Round 4: RUG Delver
Game 1 I strip his interaction with discard on turn 1 and 2 and go off turn 3.
Game 2 I board in carpet of flowers and Xantid Swarms. I mulligan my first hand, and then I get to the point a few turns later where I have 3 LEDs, a Petal, a duress, a probe and infernal tutor in hand with only a probe, a duress and a spent fetch in the yard and a basic swamp in play. He has a delver and a 'goose beating down. I shortcut counting mana and spell cost while figuring out a tutor chain storm line (I count 11 possible mana, I need one for the duress, two for the tutor - so 8 available left, tutor chain nets me just enough storm to kill him at 18) and start to go off. I play out my artifact mana, probe for life and draw a xantid swarm, I crack the petal for black and realize I've no way to sequence this profitably. I blank on my next two draw steps and die to his beatdown.
Game 3 his disruption and clock gets there before I can get something going.
2-2
Round 5:
I'm paired against BBD on Miracles.
Game 1 I'm on the play. I mulligan my first hand and draw a 6 card hand that has a tendrils. He played a top on turn 1 so I know I need to get something together soon. I don't remember the exact sequence, but on my second turn, I'm only able to generate enough storm to put him to two after he forces a spell, I go up to 30 in the process. The next turn he drops a counterbalance and I settle in trying to draw into my 2nd copy of tendrils. He eventually lands a Jace and starts plussing. I draw a significant amount of cards but am unable to resolve any cantrips through counterbalance and I never reach the tendrils before he ultimates Jace.
Game 2 starts with 11 minutes left in the round. He lands an early top. I play out some lands and get a cantrip red blasted. I play out a swarm that eats a gut shot. Turn 3 I have a hand with an LED, a PIF a Tutor, a probe and a cabal rit but not a way to get threshold pre-PIF. I probe him and see a force, a Pyroblast and a land but no other blue card I pass the turn. He draws for the turn and passes. I figure now is about the best opening I'm going to see with time getting shot so I jam. I tutor for another Cabal rit with the intention of cracking the LED for red and playing the PIF off of its flashback cost. I go through my motions and with PIF on the stack, he tops, rearranges and draws with the top, pitches a probe to Force and I'm spent. We play draw go for a few more turns and lands a monastery mentor and closes out the game in turn 3 of extra turns.
2-3
Round 6:
I'm paired against RUG Delver this match and lose the die roll.
Game 1 He drops a fetch turn 1 and passes. I drop a fetch and attempt to crack which runs into a stifle (I didn't know what he was on until this). He drops a fetch and passes the turn back. I play a bayou from hand and cast duress. I take a force and see a delver, a goyf, a wasteland and a ponder . He wastes me for his turn and ponders. I draw a fetch off the top and deploy it. I try to crack and he responds with stifle. His next turn he drops a goose and passes. I draw another fetch and play it. I go to crack and he had found a 3rd stifle so I don't get to play any more magic that game.
Game 2 is a longer affair where I go for it and miss a line that lets me win with three black mana floating after a PiF and two tutors but no rituals in my yard to flash back. Instead of going tutor for LED crack LED for 3 black tutor for tendrils, I use the three mana to flash back discard and rip his hand apart. I'm at 11 life at that point and I know I have a couple of turns. He finds his only post-board bolt and kills me the turn before I would have been able to generate enough mana to flash back the PiF in my graveyard and get the kill.
2-4 and I drop to drive home.
Overall, I felt the maindeck was solid. I never used the surgical extractions and they would have been better off as something else based on my match ups. I punted two games I could have won and by round 6 I was mentally drained. I enjoyed the deck and I like the two PiF and two Tendrils main.
I find that if an opponent has access to bloodmoon it typically comes in against me. Its almost like opponents in my meta know the jig is up and it's a very exploitable weakpoint. So the forest was a knee-jerk reaction from me and I am kinda in love with it.
Teferis realm is pretty good Also but it has to come down fast, hopefully t2 with lotus petal. I have had it stranded in my hand a couple of times because I was too conservative and didn't want to break a petal for it. I definitely learned from that mistake. It ravaged some sort of stompy deck with goblin cards and trinispheres and chalices in it for me this passed weekend. It really really smashes any streamlined proactive permanent based strategy like taxes, mud and the like.
Hey guys, after a longer video-absence I'm back with another daily for anyone interested

I 5-1'd my local yesterday with this list too, it feels decent.
Affinty: 2-0
Ub-Omni: 2-1
Dredge: 2-0
Merfolk: 2-1
UWR-blade control: 2-0
Canadian: 0-2
Interesting video, but I wish you discussed the sideboard and sideboarding strategies more in depth.
With these grinding station style decks I always have difficulties sideboarding.
Decent Martin.
Loosing against Canadian is a little but surprising though.
From my view Canadian is pretty easy to beat, we only loose the games where we get completely mana screwed. Otherwise we win.
But I guess you already know, it's totally fine to keep lands with let's say 4 lands, 2 cantrips and 1 discard spell for instance.
Right now I'm preparing for my big trip from Japan to France for GP Lille this July.
After having success in Kyoto last month with my Ant deck I feel very well equipped this time with storm although I told some of you that I might switch to Omnitell only if that's what the european meta game demands.
Who is gonna be there? :)
Looking forward to see you
Kai
G2 against dredge you have after the 1st bs.
No landdrop made
1 fetch
1 usea tapped.
Your hand:
Grim
Pif
Cabal therapy
Cabal ritual
Led
Petal
Volcanic
Brainstorm
You can go:
Volcanic cabal BBB s2
Petal s3
Led s4
Grim crack led for BBB s6
Now you have treshhold
Search cabal ritual
Cast it BBBBBB s7
Crack petal cast pif BB s8
Cast both cabal BBBBBBBB(8) s10
Cast grim to find tendrills GG
All cabal after the 1st used to cast grim tutor had *****. Before all my line he had 3 cards in grave.
3+ (cards after crack led)
Fetch
Petal
Therapy
Brainstorm
Led
+ all cards you flashback later.
You are correct Rodrigo! Though in your version I have an extra card in my hand. In the actual game I had 7 cards, you list 8 cards. I put back the therapyAlso, just for the record, it was game 1 (just in case anyone else decides to have a look). But even so, it is correct. Man! I should have gone 4-0! Wish I'd picked that up

Sorry. My answer was just of my memory.
But think all inportant card are still there for the kill.
When you played the bs I said in my room a big NOOO!!
(:
Will finish watching when I can.
Just saw g2 and 3 vs dredge.
Few things:
Why you mulled g2 and 3?
Both hands where good.
The 1st had lots of mana.
The second was good plus duress on the play is really good vs dredge.
It's pretty much irrelevant because we get there either way, but if for some reason you needed the extra mana you can also crack the fetch (4 cards in grave) then therapy (with only 7 cards in hand assume you put back bs instead) naming pif (6 in grave) then cast cab rit off the petal (7 and threshold) and crack the led for red
As I said irrelevant when it's a kill either way, but this does net one extra mana

Yes your right. Because my 1st math got me there I didnt tried to do it so.
What are the general plans against Grixis Delver & Omnitell? I'm having a ton of trouble in both matchups. Vs Omni shredding their hand doesn't seem to work since I'm only fueling their DTTs, Xantid Swarm helps but even then it seems like they just race me. Grixis just seems like a nightmare matchup with their combo of speed, discard and counters. vs omni I'm siding in Swarms, Ad Nauseam and sometimes Empty, vs Grixis I bring in an SDT to help vs the discard and sometimes Abrupt Decays or COV if they have DRS or I think they'll have Null Rods or anything. Any advice?
Omnitell should be ok because we are the faster combodeck. You shouldn't play discard spells immediately because you can.Xantid Swarm is the real deal in this matchup postboard because it forces them to have fow.
Most of the time I fire off a discard spell to get rid of a potential counter and then deploy swarm.GG
Grixis is basically pretty similar to BUG Delver if they play DRS. There is no need to bring in removal spells because we don't care about their plan. Always believe that our plan is the better than theirs.
By the way, I won the GP Trial for Lille yesterday in Kawasaki,Tokyo.
Can't wait for a fabulous GP !

I agree with sawatarix on Omnishow, it's just a race and usually you have more threats and disruptions than they do. Xantid is key here, I've had them scoop multiple times when it lands. Against Grixis, I've play an empty on the play and a pyroclasm on the draw, ripping their hand apart and killing all their dudes is usually a good plan against them. There are a few types of hands the can have.
Spell heavy hands with disruption - Discard is good and so is empty
Creature heavy hands - combo pieces and pyroclasm is good
Mix of both - Preboard plan is good
It seems somewhat 50/50 from my testing but definitely depends on pilots and draws.
