I haven't participated in any sanctioned legacy tournament before and haven't written any reports, so please bear with it and leave comment. I decided to try out deadguy rock. I haven't seen any goblins around lately so I dropped one plague and used 3 CoP because I was afraid of burn and goyf slight. Unfortunately, I couldn't get thougthseize before tournament so I played Duress.

3 Circle of Protection: Red
Round one – Ichorid
Game one: I extirpate his only dredge and keep low on mana, while attacking with confidant. He got another dredge on 3 life and used it getting deep analysis. He sacrifice Lions Eye Diamond for 3 blue, looks at deep analysis, looks at his life.
Game two: I start with leyline and two StP, he plays some mana artifacts, but no land. Next two turns: he plays putrid imp, I StP it. Then I play deed, use it for 0 to remove his mana and finish with shade and goyf.
Round two
Game one: I have to mulligan to five and opp starts with Sensei's divining top followed with counterbalanced. I couldn't answer it and got locked.
Game two:
I duress and extirpate counterbalance, just to see hand full of counters. Next few turns I use deeds, sinkhole and vindicate to get rid of counters and finally land goyf. He plays his goyf and SDT. It goes slowly from then but I don't get anything good and he just use SDT and eventually win.
Round three – Spring Tide
Opp starts twice with one land and I have my LD. Both games ended in less than 5 min.
Round four – Tendrils combo
Game one: He plays turn one confidant which I couldn't answer for 3 turns, that's enough for combo.
Game two:
I start with leyline and two StP. That gets rid of IGG and confidants, but he manage to play EtW for high enough. I top deck Deed.
Game three:
I start with leyline and two StP again. He risk and use all hand to play two confidants. I remove them and finish with goyf.
Round five - Belcher
Game 1:I get rather good hand, but still can't answer turn two EtW making 14 gobs.
Game 2:
Duress + extirpate on belcher followed by plague on goblins.
Game 3:
I mulligan intentionally to 5, finally getting deed, fetch, bayou, scrubland and confidant. Opp makes 10 gobs in turn 1. I draw goyf and take 10 damage. I draw another fetch, play goyf and take 9 damge. It doesn't look good, I'm left with one life, two fetches and deed, but I topdeck bayou and win with deed for 0.
Round six - Armageddon Stax
Game one: That's really bad matchup for this deck. I tried to play disrupt + aggro, but he always got what he needed and I using too many fetches slowed me down enough to lose to Mishra.
Game two:
I got hand full of fetches again, but managed to remove some lock with deeds and attack with goyf leaving him at six. But then I got locked with two Tangle wires, after them he plays Crucible, Armageddon and trinisphere, killing my remaining creatures with returned tabernacle.
Round seven
Game one: “Finally some aggro deck”, I think, but I end up losing because I kept getting LD and discard while he got mobs and jitte.
Game two: I try to play more aggro this time, attacking with goyf and shade. He blocks them, slowly losing creatures and life. I lose shade to StP and leave goyf to goyf, because he keeps playing creatures. One of them is meedling mage for vindicate. I have one vindi but draw next two and some lands, while he keeps getting creatures like loxodon hierarch and eternall witness and another mage for StP this time. Next turn I draw StP. I tanked his attacks for few turns, hoping for one of four deeds, but I lost never seeing one for around 50 turns total in this round.
I finished 14/43, but I love this deck anyway. It's surprisingly good against 1-2 turn kill combos and it should deal with aggro when I learn to play it better.
Thanks for your report GvS, and Welcome to the Source !!
First : 23 lands, no Rituals ? Looks like you've chosen a non-explosive (no Dark Rit shenanigans), more stable(?) manabase. How does it work for you ? No manaflood ? (although you have Shades to sink the extra mana)
It seems that Thresh//Tarmhold//Baseruption is a though matchup for this deck. =/
Was your 2nd round oponent's early CounterTop plan that hard to disrupt ? With seven 3cc answer (Deeds & Vindicates) you still couldn't cope with it ?! His counters were too hard to pass through ?!
Have you considered Tombstalker as a 2-of for additional "non-counterTopable" threat ? (which could lead to -4 Sinkhole +2 Top +2 Stalker)
By the way, about Sinkhole : How's the LD plan works for you during the tourney ?! It's look like your 3rd round opponent was already entering mana death mode and that the 4 MD Sinkholes slots could be used otherwise ?!
It's look like LD strategy is not as great than before with Vial (C.Breakfast, Goblin, Fish, Meathooks...) low cc threat ('goyfs, avenger, grunts...) and landless combo decks (Ichorid, Belcher, TES...) everywhere in the Legacy metagame.
Thoughts ?
Thanks for comment!
I'm very happy with manabase, never had colour problems, never got flooded, sometimes it was even too low for shade.
My second opponent had a lot of different counters + vedalken shackles to counter 3cc. I played duress, hymn and deed in one turn, but all were countered.
I agree with LD, sinkholes seems not so useful anymore. I'm afraid of tombstalker though, besides hurting from confidant it got bad synergy with goyf, especially if I side in Leylines. I will use two SDT for sure and maybe replace sideboard Katakis with Krosan Grips for enemy SDT and other stuff that hurt me a lot.
