    Re: 4 Card Blind

There are quite a few disagreements still in the doc, but it doesn't look like they will influence bannings anymore.

So far, it looks like these are out:
    Badlands
    Death's Shadow
    Forge Devil
    Fume Spitter
    Mishra's factory
    Mogg fanatic
    Myr Superion
    Reef Shaman
    Taiga
    Tinder Wall
    Underground River
    Valki, god of lies

EDIT: A better look at the results posts tells me all disagreements have been resolved now.

I guess forge devil can only convert to 3 damage before and can’t be played on an empty board. I agree 1-4.

    Standings for round 5:
    1. PJim: 46 - 4,6
    2. silkster: 39 - 3,9
    3. dte: 35 - 3,5
    4. Asthereal (TO): 34 - 3,4
    5. Reeplcheep: 30 - 3
    6. alphastryk: 26 - 2,6
    7. GoblinSmashmaster: 24 - 2,4
    8. maxx!: 22 - 2,2
    9. RoosterCocoa: 21 - 2,1
    10. FTW: 16 - 1,6
    11. Wrath of Pie: 11 - 1,1

    Leading to these bannings:
    Badlands
    Death's Shadow
    Forge Devil
    Fume Spitter
    Mishra's factory
    Mogg fanatic
    Myr Superion
    Reef Shaman
    Taiga
    Tinder Wall
    Underground River
    Valki, god of lies

And the season standings look as follows:
    1. PJim: 20,5
    2. dte: 18,2
    3. silkster: 17,2
    4. Asthereal (TO): 14,1
    5. RoosterCocoa: 14
    6. FTW: 13,3
    7. Reeplcheep: 12,8
    8. Wrath of Pie: 12,3
    9. alphastryk: 11,8
    10. GoblinSmashmaster: 11,5
    11. maxx!: 9,6

So PJim wins another round and is starting to build up a lead, dte and silk following with strong performances as well.
The big pack behind the top 3 is lead by me, with Rooster just a tenth of a point behind me.

ROUND 6 OF SEASON 11: LEGACY CREATURES & LANDS BANNATHON has started.

I have PM'ed myself my deck for round 6, so you can start sending me your decks.

DEADLINE: Wednesday the 15th of December at 11:00AM Central European Time.
(That's my time zone. Pacific Time it'll probably be something like Tuesday night a bit past midnight, so keep that in mind.)

    PLEASE NOTE:
The way you send your deck to me matters. Please send it in the way described below, so it doesn't cost me an hour of editing before I can post all the decks.
Please send your deck as follows: Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Quicksand, Daughti Slayer, Black Knight.
So with card tags around each card, and not above eachother, and with your Username and 4CB S11R06 in the topic.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the banned list. You'll find it in the second post of the thread, or in our Google Spreadsheet.

After the deadline has passed, I will post all decks on the forum here, and you can start puzzling out your scores.
If you have any questions, please read the first two posts of this thread first. If you can't find the answer there, drop a message here. We'll answer a.s.a.p.

    Happy deckbuilding!

Just half a season point of margin both up and down, so you're not very secure there.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

Deadline has passed, and we're nearly complete. Only maxx! hasn't sent an entry yet. I'll give you a bit more time while I do work stuff.

I have to say I'm enjoying this season a lot more than the last one.
The rules and limitations are clear every round and we got super diverse metas every round so far.
Do you guys think it might be an option to keep this season going for 15 rounds rather than the planned 12?

The card pool is quite deep. I'm happy to go to 15 rounds so we can explore more fringe interactions.

    Three in favour already.

I'll give more people the chance to object or support the idea before I decide.
But I'll make sure to decide before the start of round 7, so everybody knows well in advance.

While it has been interesting and varied, I'd be a touch worried that things might be less so later on, particularly once our multi-mana sources become more limited. What's the best one/two-drop left would be a much less interesting game than the one we have at the moment.

I think with various storage & sac lands & bounce lands there should be more than enough lands to go bigger even in 15 rounds given how many remain unbanned now.

    I'm in for 15 rounds

I have the opposite sentiment. Once the turn 1 land destruction is banned, there are a lot more options for higher CMC strategies. The early rounds have been limited to Turn 1-2 decks due to the presence of fast mana and LD.

Agree with this. There are no storelands banned - out of 16 playable, and no one dared yet to play a manadork, or a suspend card.

    Re: 4 Card Blind

    4. Reeplcheep: Grist, The Hunger Tide, Arboreal Grazer, Lair of the Hydra, Golgari Rot Farm

I thought with magus gone I could try a slower grist deck.

    1. Asthereal (TO): Sandstone Needle, Swamp, Fulminator Mage, Rotting Regisaur
    WL 3-3

    2. dte: Endurance, Hickory woodlot, Urza's saga, Ramunap excavator
Recursive removal vs recursive threats. I think I win this one since endurance can’t recur itself without exiling your ramunap. Also drawing your tap lands slows you down. WW 6-0
    Edit: apparently 4-1?

    3. PJim: Creeping Tar Pit, Dreadship Reef, Tide Shaper, Murderous Rider
    LL 0-6

    5. Wrath of Pie: Cathedral of War, Inkmoth Nexus, Mana Confluence, Granger Guildmage
My clock is faster than 8 turns I think. WW 6-0

    6. silkster: Hickory Woodlot, Mayor of Avabruck, Golgari Guildmage, Grief
    LL 0-6

    7. RoosterCocoa: Undiscovered Paradise, Old-Growth Dryads, Fanatical Firebrand, Law-Rune Enforcer
    WL I think?
    WW 6-0 per PJim.

    8. GoblinSmashmaster: Mercadian Bazaar, Fury, Squee, the Immortal, Bonecrusher Giant
Fury grist, stabilize vs my 2 1/1s. Not respecting the LD it seems LL 0-6

    9. FTW: Badlands, Inkmoth Nexus, Fanatical Firebrand, Mesmeric Fiend
    WL 3-3

    10. alphastryk: Icatian Store, Dust Bowl, Rogue's Passage, Windborn Muse
Kill your muse, kill my arbor, “ultimate” you 20 times. WW 6-0

    11. maxx!: Inkmoth Nexus, Molten Slagheap, Bonecrusher Giant, Murderous Rider
    LL 0-6
Apparently I'm too fast for your removal OTP. WL 3-3

Didn’t do the math too in-depth, I could easily be wrong.
    10 W 1D 9L for 31/60

    Goblin smash! 4-1
Maybe you were looking at 3-mana Giant vs 3-mana Dust Bowl storage land race, but because of the 3rd land alpha can Dust Bowl you 1 turn before Giant even when you go first. So you never get to cast Giant. Fury kills Muse to draw.
    DD 2-2

Adding counters every turn, maxx! has T4 Giant -> T7 murder -> T10 Rider -> T11 start attacking with Inkmoth

If Goblin goes T5 Giant & evoke Fury -> T9 Squee, then maxx kills Giant, stabilizes against Squee at 8 life, and wins with Inkmoth
If Goblin instead ramps to T7 Fury -> T11 Giant, it still stops maxx's attacks in time. But then Rider suicides into Giant -> T13 Swift End kills it in time -> T16 Rider stabilizes against T15 Squee -> Inkmoth wins
If Goblin plays T5 evoke Fury & Squee -> T7 Rider stabilizes against Squee -> T9 Giant tries to beat Rider -> Rider can suicide -> T10 Swift End kills Giant -> T13 Rider stabilizes against Squee -> Inkmoth wins

I think maxx wins all versions by going proactive. Giant is forced to attack into Murderous Rider, otherwise maxx! gains tempo building up charge counters and can eventually start flying over with Inkmoth.
    LL 0-6

Fury stops the 1st Excavator (must be evoked because T7 hardcast is too slow). T4 Endurance resets very slowly, but is enough to trade with 4/3 Giant, stalling until T8 Ramunap recovers.
    LL 0-6
