This was hard to get. Foil is no problem for cards. Asian foil isn't that hard eather if you have the cash. But Asian non-foil? Those cards simply aren't interesting enough to put on ebay. Certain cards are a real pain to get (shapeshifters, quirion rangers, birds with the good pic, back to basics).

This just isn't true. Asian non-foils come in packs, even if some older ones are a little tough to track down. Still, these days, there are a ton of dealers in Asia that can track stuff down for you if you ask, not to mention MOTL.

Try getting a non-foil asian Daze.

There is a man on MOTL called Michael French. You need to meet him. I have both Chinese non-foil dazes and foil Japanese Dazes and the foil were much harder to acquire.

There's one set of Counterbalances, for a rediculous amount of money. It doesn't mean it's easy to find them.

I took 30 seconds to look, and found some asian Dazes on a site I frequent (AsianMagicKards.com - actually, they sold some since I typed this, strangely enough). It's not a set, but I'm confident I could find some more. Also, It's not exactly simple to find anything from Mirage block in asian languages, so I'm not arguing that by any means.

Asthetically, if nothing else, I <3 foils, so we can agree to disagree. Still, there's a reason Chinese Dazes are $3 and Foils are $15.

You found one daze while I found a playset of foil counterbalances in 30 seconds. For me it's easier to find foil counterbalances.

It's not that I don't love foils. I love them a lot more than asian cards. This was just a little project. Of course foil dazes will be more expensive. That doesn't make them harder to find. On the contrary.
