If you wanted to move this for the sake of non conflicting with the washington tournement, then the weekend of June 14,21,28 and July 5th, would be no good for us. Postponeing it two weeks, or bumping it up 3 weeks would be fine.

July 12th-ish seems to make a lot of sense. Neither a GP nor an EPIC road trip nor another previously scheduled event seems to be occurring within 2 weeks, which would give your tournament priority & make anyone later be the interloper. Just beware that it might pose a dilemma for all the Spanish players having to choose between traveling to this & GP Madrid on 7/26....

Moving it earlier is better than later I think.

Heres a crazy thought. why not have it the week before the GP in indianapolis. Im not sure howe many legacy players want to attend the GP but if I have a chance to win some of my travel expenses to Indy Id totally be there. This may be the best strategy. Heck event those going to Washington mightmake the trip to try and win extra travel cash.

Sweet, I might make this. A few weeks after the East Coasters get stomped in Washington, I can add insult to injury and take prizes from your home turf!

Is anyone going to this from the Long Island area? I'd be willing to split gas.

And/Or will anyone put me up for a night or two that weekend in Syracuse? Mapquest says it's a five hour drive. Will I have any luck trying to get a train between those two places?

There is a train station literally 1 minute's walking time from Carousel Mall. I have taken said train to NYC in the past, so it shouldn't be a problem.

It looks like you have to cross 81. Is this feasible on foot?

It is if you use the overpass bridges with the sidewalks...otherwise you takes your chances....

81's actually an elevated highway at that point - you'll walk beneath an overpass getting to the mall from the station. No troubles.

    AngryTroll:
yes its walkable from the train station across the way. take you about 5ish mins total to walk from there to the mall. if i hear of anyone coming from the Long Island area i will pass on that you're looking for a ride/gas split.

Have a safe drive and I'm sure you'll have fun up here.
