My only dream is that yours never come true.
"People played violin as the Titanic sank. Tomorrow they will play Green Day songs with plastic keytars as their Hoovervilles burn."
He actually got 9th place. Bummer, I know.
I actually predicted the metagame correctly and that Goblins would be the right call to play at this tournament. I told a number of people to play the deck and they'd be nearly guaranteed to do well, but nobody ended up doing it. There was a lot of Ichorid and a lot of Counterbalance decks. Goblins was really a perfect metagame call, but I only saw like 2-3 being played.Anyways this format is so silly now. Look at that top eight. Why is no one playing goblins anymore?
You beat me once in your entire life in an event playing Ichorid against Landstill on the day I cut crypt from my SB and now you think you have surpassed me at magic? I enjoy messing with Bryant who I consider to be a very good player but in our last 3 rounds I have beaten him 2-0, that's 2-0 meaning I took game one against the 4 Orim's Chant Tendril's deck. Get your Legacy rating within 200 points of mine and perhaps I'll consider taking your trash talking seriously. Congrat's to Bryant on the top 4, shame I didn't see you in the finals like we agreed upon before round one.

More people need to play Goblins, for serious.
Also, Bane, chill.
I was playing Goblins or Thrash if I had made it.
I'm definitely sold on Gobs in the current meta btw, especially with sideboard Perish.
To be fair, Anwar mulled to 3 game 1, and still had like LED, golgari and some card, but his LED got forced so he got smashed. And game 2, his deck just crapped out on him. He opened with Cephalid Coliseum, LED, Breakthrough for 0. He milled 23 cards and saw 0 Narcomebas and 0 DAs. Dave then brainstormed into Tormod's Crypt and smashed again. Anwar just got a case of bad luck, dredging half his deck and finding nothing.

"The Wandering One" of Legacy.
"Glimmervoid, Go."
I would also like to congratulate judge Jason for being competent (unlike the fairly terrible employees of PTG).
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.”

That tournament was great! I'd like to thank Nightmare and Kadishack for putting up all those people in their places, thanks guys. I could not believe the lack of Goblins and other tribe, my Pyroclasms grew dust on them from my board I didn't even think about boarding them in in any of my rounds.
