German Magic 1 at Frankfurt (1st-3rd January 2010)

Will probably be there, but the date sucks cause I think I'll have a tremendous hangover on the 1st of January.
At least it's just half an hour away from here, so if I'm able to stand up in the morning I'll come. =D

The prices are sick...and of course it's gonna help that the event takes place just two weeks after Christmas

Lol, what a date for such a tournament. I think at the 1st I'd be still drunk. At the time I will be in holiday in denmark but maybe I will be there and take sum #ayb-freaks with me.

My guess is this: normally tournaments this big want to have trial tournaments where you can earn byes to the big tournament. The DCI has very strict rules when it comes to handing out byes on a sanctioned tournament. It basically boils down to the point, that if it isn't an event organized by the DCI, you probably can't get any byes and sanction the event. That's why probably the bye-idea was dropped, so it will be sanctioned.

Seems like a nice tournament and although I won't be getting any prices (I guess), playing a big tournament is always very nice.

If you are not registered by then, you'll have to register at the day of the event.

If you play more than one tournament, it's cheaper.

Some of us are also looking for a rock/metal concert to hit on New Year's Eve in Frankfurt or just some place to have a good time? Anyone have plans for New Year's Eve in Frankfurt? Isn't Germany suppose to be the home of many metal bands? Or am I mistaken?
