Hey guys,
I've been thinking about buying a new deck since I'm only in possession of the Dredge and Stormcombo Pool at the moment.
The only conditions are that the deck should be able to beat the following consistently:
- Zoo/Sligh
- Merfolk
- Countertop
Preferably it would be a rather controllish deck, but it doesn't really matter.
I'm counting on your help!
Fred
//Edit: It should obviously be competitive and therefore Tier 1 or 2.
Enchantress, landstill, Canadian Thresh and goblins comes to mind. Do you have any budget constraints?
Also, something like Truffle Shuffle, MBC, the Rock, and other heavyremoval.dec should get the job done.

Sooo, I'll make it short.
What should be my next deck?
Goblins or TES?
I have no budget restraints, also I own for
Goblins: Lackeys, other lil' gobs, Vials
TES: Rainbow lands, Chants, Silence and all the other smaller stuff
Also I have already a Canadian Threshold and a Merfolk-Deck.
I need a deck that's good against zoo, merfolk and isn't too bad against randomness.
I have never played goblins before but have quite a more or less succesfull combo history.
So what to build?
Goblins , TES or something totally different like Countertop.dec?
Hope to hear so voices.
Cheerio.
Team Legal Actions.
What should I play in my meta?
zero combo
some counter top/thresh/nlu
some landstill and aggro loam
a few appearances by each of goblins, zoo, deadguy, merfolk, and janky aggro decks.
I have no clue what to play in my meta. It consists of:
Combo every so often
Some CB-Top decks
Dredge
Aggro decks like zoo and gobs
UW control
And a player who plays different decks every time.
Ok, big tournament comeing up at the beginning of next year and i wann aplay the right deck =) I need to have good MUs against GoyfSligh and Merfolk and a fighting chance angainst: CounterTop, Dread/Land/Walkerstill, BantSurvival, Goblins, Dragon/Faerie/Green Stompy
I would love to play something controllish, with FoW in it (but no MUC XD)
A few options. Tempo thresh is fairly good against all of those aside from stompy decks. Ichorid is HOT depending on how much people board for it, Landstill (with cunning wish -> pulse of the feilds) is probably great too as humility> Listed decks aside from maby goyf sligh.paK0 Ok, big tournament comeing up at the beginning of next year and i wann aplay the right deck =) I need to have good MUs against GoyfSligh and Merfolk and a fighting chance angainst: CounterTop, Dread/Land/Walkerstill, BantSurvival, Goblins, Dragon/Faerie/Green Stompy

Bottom line I would play UW/b cunning landstill and beat thier faces with more humility :D
Landstill beats stompy decks hard core, you just play 4 EE 4 Path 4 Spell snare 1 Path 1 Wog 1 Nevs disk 2 humility 1 E tutor and bingo thats the end of fish.deck
Goyf sligh is just a good MU. I guess my point for landstill comes down to humility> non combo decks.
In the end go with what you know I would pick ichorid if people dont pack hate but dont repeat the offence and bring it again or you will do poorly :P
I c h o r i d - my anti blue
Manaless Ichorid- At least its cheeper than standard.
We admit for the sake of the exercise that following is true:
Landstill > Fromat
Non-Basic Hate > Landstill
Basics > Non-Basic Hate
We can therefore logically conlude that
Basics > Format
My meta is becoming increasingly more aggro lately. I am facing down many many zoo
few aggro elves
few burn/sligh
one b/w aggro.
rarely combo (belcher or ichroid shows... never teps)
few rock / pox
Now, it's becoming harder and harder for me to win these tourneys with counterbalance (u/g/w) so I figure the best option is me to switch to a Rock Deck. Am I correct in that analysis?
No, most Rock variants are much worse than UGW CounterTop against both Sligh/Burn and Elves.
Just tune your decklist appropriately. If between MD and SB you have access to Rhox War Monks, a couple of Jittes, 2-3 Condemn/PtE and some BEBs or Diverts you should be just fine against the decks you listed. EE could be good too (mostly vs. Elves if it's the Druid/Sentinel combo kind). Against all but Elves you can also try the old Worship+Mongoose trick, saving a FoW for their non-Grip removal.

I have made those tweeks (From maindeck RWMs to maindeck firespouts) and am still coming out on top, But the wins just require alot of work suggesting that it may be time I finally switch my deck :-P
Curiously, I have been wondering if the natural order + prog route would be benefical enough in this meta to be worth implementing....
worship+mon wouldn't work very well since I have been playing countertop variants for quite some time and people are very heavily SBed for me (some even 15 cards)... you know how small tourneys of like 10 with the same people can be...
Hey guys. Next weekend I am playing in a tournament and I can't decide whether to play Mono Black Aggro or UBg/UBw/UBgw Vial Affinity. The problem is that I have no idea what the meta is going to be. There could be completely rogue decks, edited standard decks, extended decks, and probably a few top tier decks as well. So basically, which of these decks would do best in a possibly very random meta?

I would play Affinty. There's a high chance to you'll face a lot of aggro, against which Mono Black isn't that good. Also, you probably won't see a lot of artifact hate besides Krosan Grip.
I have the following metagame to break:
- blue aggro-control (Canadian Thresh, Merfolk, Dreadstill, Counterbalance)
- aggro (Goblins, Elves, Goyfsligh, Affinity, Suicide)
- non-blue control (Rock, Stax, Enchantress, Lands)
What would you recommend?
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably delicious.
