I'm gonna be in Pittsburg for work the weekend of the tournament, is there a better way than a car to get there?

It's a five hour drive down 76, really not bad. You might be able to catch a ride with people from Pitts. It's like $120 to fly or $85 for a train.

    But aren't you working?
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.

Actually I work Thursday Friday and then not until Tuesday, so I'm in Pittsburg for work, but not working over the weekend.

Keep in mind that parking downtown can be pretty pricy: you're looking at $10-15/day in any of the lots near the convention center. Carpooling might be the best way to go, here. :D

I'm definitely coming and bringing 2 people with me. Just so I'm sure, SCG will have a booth with decent stock there, yes? Somehow this tourney caught me unprepared (even though its been on my calendar for over a month) and I'm not looking forward to paying overnight shipping for the 2 cards I'm missing (plateaus) and my team doesn't have dupes of :(
    Great success!

SCG has a very well stocked case. Sometimes they even let you order from the site and pick up at the event.

They buy all weekend too, if you want to pay for your Plateaus with cards.

Due to the high demand for Zendikar, side event formats and drafts have been updated and modified.

Are there any nearby hotels with discounts for this event?

Awesome Rick! I have my bet that you'll make top 16 at least. Hopefully cdr will cover some of your matches as well since I would be delighted to watch you play.

I'm afraid not; I'd advise you to try Priceline, though. I was able to get a very good deal on the hotel we're using for staff.

At the moment, I'd be driving by myself. Any Syracuse or Binghamton people have extra space in their car or need a ride?

What day are you going down?

Is anyone going down Friday night for the Standard event on Saturday?

Looks like I won't be able to make it. Apoligies to anyone who was going to borrow a deck.
