So does this count as pimp then? It was paid for in dual lands. Seriously.

So much for the idea of wasting money on cardboard. I have to laugh at people when they bash me for that since my cards outraced my 401k by a longshot and I managed to buy 2 houses off this "stupid" game while most people lost money hard in the stock market.

I know it's not Legacy, but that's the best Sol Ring I've ever seen!
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably delicious.

By the by, there are summer duals up right now, a trop I believe (not into it myself, I would rather have a couple nice bottles of wine than spend a thousand dollars on a card you can get for $30)

In any event, like I said, pimping is about FUN and individuality, not being a prick and ragging on someone else's stuff cause 'my sideboard costs more than all the cards you own'

I am unimpressed by a $5k stack of 60 cards, from a dude who thinks he's better than everyone else cause he wasted all his money on cardboard...

This is not directed towards anybody individually, just the tone that is developing, or might develop.

Have fun guys, its a hobby, don't be a snob...
It's nice to see a post like that. Most people on this tread are "your Thoughtseize should be jap foil" and few consider pimpin as art and not as comparing penis sizes. People like you make me want to post pics!

Wow! They have the exact same alteration on all four. I thought he normally varied on 1 or 2 when he did a playset, but I guess he only has a few different alterations.

It's possible to get alterations just by mailing the cards to the artists. And even if you go to the events they're gonna need more than a day to work on your alteration if you want sthg like the Dreadstill's FoW (if you want a brief sketch like the one on the Tin Street Hooligans it should not take more than 5 minutes though).
If I remember correctly, last time the Worlds were in Paris, Terese Nielsen charged €150 for a single alteration.

I bought some prints from Ron Spencer at an event and he did some quick alterations for me (Diabolic Edicts in the Altered Art thread). It was relatively cheap actually, but then again, it was fast and simple.

actually I have a playset of damaged FOW (they got damp and stuck together I traded for them while they was still stuck) I contacted Nielsen about altering them and she wanted $100 each card plus insured priority shipping fees. I sent cards to Amy Weber to be signed and got alters (High Tides But I traded them for some duals last year) on them at no cost just depends on the artist.

Given the status of the current housing market, you probably could have put a down payment down on this for one revised Bayou.
