Oh jesus, I forgot about Progenitus (and every other fatty besides Goyf)! As it is, I figured you could cast FoW by removing a Goyf from game, cast WS, replace him with the removed Goyf, then either repeat the process or simply buy back WS and do it again.
It just all seems very conditional (and confusing), hence the "balanced" part, but on second thought, not so much.
In painting, you have unlimited power. You have the ability to move mountains. You can bend rivers.
Not for Eternal purposes, just because.

BTW, delve works fine with X spells. You declare the spell and the value of X, then pay costs, using delve to decrease the amount of mana you need to cast the spell. See Logic Knot for an X spell with delve.

Heh. I once came up with this:
Magus of the Island
Creature -- Human Wizard
1/1
T: Addto your mana pool.
Would've been a perfect fit for Planar Chaos as part of the Magus cycle, while also working with the color-shifting theme. Of course, whether it's a good idea to reprint Llanowar Elves in blue is another thing entirely, and the answer is most likely no. But it's amusing nonetheless.
(Edit: As for why Island and not one of the other basic lands, that's obviously because they were only doing Magus versions of famous, broken lands.)

Roll a D20. Whenever you roll 1 to 19, you don't lose the game.
Whenever you roll 20, you roll again.
The irony is great in this one!
