I actually prefer the original maze too![]()
the new art is fine but looks too much like a maze ^^ and i really prefered the interpretation in Maddocks art.
I just choose the foil ones for the pic because the number of foil in this deck is limited (due to moxes, urza cards...)
I think I'm going to invent some sleeves with black borders built in. For all the talk about borders being the problem in otherwise perfect cards, I think I am going to make a fuckton of cash on this deal. Is there any venture capital out there for this project?
Not all cards are perfectly aligned within the cardspace, so inevitable white borders will still peak through.
mtgsolring,
Beautiful deck - love the altered Tabernacle. Thanks for sharing.
BTW, after 3 months I finally saw your PM and responded - my bad. Just drop me an email in the future for quicker results

Hey guys as i too much time the last days i watched some videos about magic card alternations on youtube. I saw sime videos where something like a "professional art/painting team" (i really don't know how to describe) did some great artworks, also everyone knows that there are not only the orginal Artists who did good work. So all in all i wanted to know if anyone knows where i would get such great alternations i could post here without paying hundred and more $ and maybe with having an a chance to know that i will get my cards back at all![]()
+1. I appreciate how detailed and beautiful some of the newer cards can be, but I generally prefer older art from some of the original artists like Maddocks, Myrfors, Melissa Benson, Christopher Rush, etc.. The old stuff just feels like it captures more of the fantasy spirit.
@ thulnanth : thanks for your answer, really appreciate it :)
here is a scan i finally managed to do with my old and "not so clean" scan/printer![]()
except for the top borders of tropical + signed volcanic, cards are in "ready to ship to psa/bgs company" shape(expecting from 8 to 9)
BUT as these are playing cards (though i don't play much), i have to find graded ones for collection purpose.
I know that's not a deck, but being much more of a collector now, i hope you'll still appreciate those !!!

Very nice duals. NM beta cards just look so good. Glad you got an answer from Thulnath -- asking me about grading was probably a horrible idea as I have plenty to learn about it.
Most of the duals above (just from the scan) will get at least 8 from PSA, except possibly the sea in the middle and the signed volcanic. It's going to be tougher to get high grades on the alphas as well, as alphas traditionally have more centering issues and surface issues which get grading points docked.
In any case, I have a question that perhaps you, Jared, Comeback or anyone familiar with grading could help with. I've contacted BGS in the past about grading test prints, and they were confident they could handle it if I furnished them with the needed info. I'm still not convinced about their expertise here and whether they will denote the cards with the correct set etc. Most of my test prints are in really good shape (probably 9 and above BGS) and I think this could possibly preserve them better than the lucite cases I am using now. I would love input on this.
One must imagine Sisyphus happy.
Here I am looking for cards in a pimp thread. Seriously people? There's like two pictures in the last two pages. Shut up.
I'll be posting a new Long Cook gem after my Final.
OMG!!! SEXXXXYYY Duals man! Sic!! do you know how long I've been looking for NM Beta duals, I can absolutely not find them, I was convinced they didn't exsist outside of PSA collections... well done bro!
Some little news.
I finally received my dragon today.![]()

After not getting much mail today I finally received one of the big packages I'm waiting on. Here are the contents...

That`s nuts. What deck are you building btw?
Heh, nothing specific actually. I just pick up stuff that interests me. I was working on stax and 43 land, but getting cards in korean takes so long that I just decided I would buy whatever staples interest me whenever I see them. This way instead of working on a deck for 3 or 4 months I will probably have the cards to build 6-10 decks within 6 months. I would probably want to finish up my edh deck, my highlander deck, as well as to have 43 lands, stax, countertop, and tes.
I think that next week I should receive the last 2 packages of korean singles i am currently waiting on which would mean I would almost have all the korean cards I need for stax. Now I just have to find more japanese foil crucibles, chalices, etc. I do have a 5th dawn crucible on the way, but they are really hard to come by.
