you know what they say about big hands.
Very nice Moxes.
I have 2 now and want to complete the playset. I must say getting Korean cards is pretty hard. Esspecially when you normally don't trade much, I don't have a network.

Next steps in pimping the deck:
- turn the two japanese Mox Diamonds into T-chinese ones which are really hard to find
- get (S-)chinese Entombs
- get two T- or three S-chinese Engineered Plagues
- turn, if possible, all T-chinese cards into S-chinese
I don't even recognize most of those cards :D Mind giving me a hand?

Hello friend.
Yeah, I dislike Chinese, but love Japanese and Korean.
But ANY deck that follows a complete theme always looks good. Congrats! You are almost there.
Got this from UPS last night ...

I am not really a fan of chinese cards. Here are a few that look decent and seem appropriate. They are for trade if anyone is interested![]()
Supposedly those smokestacks as well as 2 of the korean ones posted earlier were used by Roland Chang to win vintage worlds.
That Worm Harvet looks cool, but I think Chinese cards are ugly. Their lettering looks too blocky to me.
I completely agree. I think t-chi is my least favorite language. Way too blocky. The new s-chi or whatever they use nowadays is pretty bad too. Some of the old s-chi cards are quite nice though. Those s-chi vindicates are one of my favorite s-chi cards.
Here is a pick of a few s-chi cards and a new one for comparison.
All of those old s-chi cards look quite nice imo. The burning of xinye is actually another one of my favorite s-chi cards. Anyway, there's no way s-chi cards can compare to japanese cards in terms of looks. Japanese just looks so much better. Here is a side by side comparison...

It's pretty silly to assert that as a fact. I definitely prefer the old simplified Chinese to the Japanese. This kind of stuff is what makes this thread boring anyways, the whole, "Here's is the established norm for the "pimpest" deck" mentality. It's a lot more interesting when people build an identity for their deck with things that they like than when they just buy the Japanese foils because it makes them look cool. It pretty hard to get excited about any particular post when everything in here is always Japanese foils.
On that note, props to the WBG Loam poster a bit up the page. Glad to see someone who isn't afraid to enjoy pimping out a deck in non-foil.
Yeah, I agree. I think Russian is dethroning Japanese though in the "pimpest" type.
I don't like that Burning Wish/Polluted Delta because the text is so small it's hard to read. I prefer the newer font they use like on the Scalding Tarn... much easier to read. Also, I too prefer Simplified Chinese because I can't read Traditional Chinese characters very easily.![]()
Anyone who wants to trade straight up English for Chinese because you think the latter is ugly, let me know.![]()
I really like the thickness of the characters on the old T-Chinese cards. They might be compact, but I think it looks absolutely awesome. I'm not the biggest fan of S-Chinese, but of all the Asian languages I dislike Korean the most. To the trained eye, Korean is the most bland-looking language![]()
So, I guess that massive hint means you know Korean? Cool.
For those not in the know, Korean uses an alphabet similar to ours in its quantity (51 Jamo... kinda like letters), unlike Chinese, which has thousands of unique characters, and at the very least, more than a hundred "radicals" or character components. [/language geeking out]
It always shits me when people say "Asian" on like MOTL because they can't differentiate Japanese, Korean and Chinese. They're so dissimilar.
I'm actually Chinese, but I know some Japanese and a tiny bit of Korean. I'm not so much worried about legibility of the characters more than how cool the script looks on the card. But yes, that is why I say Korean looks bland - because it's just the same jamo re-arranged. That's just me though. It might look cool to someone else, but to me it lacks the visual and symbolic sophistication of other Asian languages (namely Chinese).
And yes, it also really bugs me when people can't tell the difference between the Asian languages.
I was wondering if anyone had an educated price guess on how much a FBB Undergound Sea should go. I need one (or maybe two) and all my other (three :( ) duals are FBB so I'd like to continue in this trend if possible. If anyone has any for sale they'd mail to Europe, they're also welcome to PM me.
I'm not rich though, I'm already expecting to settle for Unl.
