You are right, there is nothing wrong with unlimited power. There is something very wrong with white border (non summer) sea's though, very very wrong.

I just got back from a tour of Aussieland and pimped out my EDH deck along the way. Every card here has been picked from a folder/cabinet and none were sent through the mail. :) Just a personal mission. Hope you like it:

I think your boycrush on bryant maybe clouding your judgment. I went back like 3-4 pages to the last copy of his deck that you had quoted, so Im assuming thats the most recent. I wrote everything down and quickly checked the prices on ebay. Not counting the half assed sideboard, which looks to be around $100.00 or so. The price I could essentially buy his complete jap foil TES deck with FBB duals would be like $3090.00 + SB. So lets just say $3200 total to be on the safe side. The starting cost for EX white bordered p9 starts at approximately $3500 and goes up. So I guess you were kind of correct in the sense that I was wrong and those 9 white borders are actually worth more from the start, not equal, in addition to exceeding the jap foil TES value.

Also, I find it kind of amusing that someone with FBB duals cracks on WB power.

i think it has nothing to do with your mentioned "boycrush" on bryant but just with general knowledge on pimped card prizes.

I came roughly to the same amount for the TES deck as you but seems like the prizes for P9 differs from ebay to shops in Germany. So $ 3.000 is approx. the value for them over here.

Still i have to admit the prize is "close" but please don't forget it takes far longer to complete the TES deck compared to the P9 which makes them more valuable in my eyes.

Again i also have to admit that if combo dies(won't happen soon...at least i hope so) the prizes will go down again for the TES cards which won't happen to the P9 as they slowly go up time by time.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but power isn't exactly gaining price anymore, it's losing it. I sell a couple each month and Moxes are not one of my favorite things to trade for now. I've been clearing them out. I'd rather have FBB duals any day. I usually get more for those. Only the Black Lotus is holding any sort of value due to it's slightly iconic status. I recently let a Mox pearl go for around 250. I was sad it went for so low, but that's the way it's headed. The buy it nows may be up there, but they aren't selling. Those FBB duals in Bryant's deck go for more than moxes now on a regular basis, especially the Undergrounds. Even Ancestral Recall is starting to show that Vintage is getting it's ass kicked and people are calling it good and moving to Legacy or standard. I've been selling all my power since real estate is safer than an investment in vintage stuff anymore.


Anyway, I'll post up my 43 Lands next.

Heh last I checked, Moxen were still going for anywhere between 250-500. Recalls are still going for 300-400. And a Power 9 set just sold on ebay for $4,000.

When it comes to how pimp WB p9 is it falls somewhere between basic lands that have black lotus written on them in sharpie and gaming etc p9 proxies. Any well made proxies are a hell of a lot more pimp than unlimited.

I don't really play much type 1, but if I do I'm going to run my proxy p9 over any ugly unlimited ones I may have at the time. There's no way I'm going to have something as plain as unlimited p9 in a deck running jap foil delta's and Ron Spencer alters. Speaking of Spencer alters here is one of my newest acquisitions...

I don't play Vintage either, but I don't really see 110 players @ $30 a head playing for a foil Black Lotus that was made at Kinko's.
