Upon closer inspection, I agree with you (the character is not centred as it should be).I'm glad it's just painted as I had already gotten Jap (mostly non foil) Zendikar full art Forests...

QFMFT, in my hunt for German cards I can't describe how much it sucks to not be able to order off magiccardmarket.eu, and I can't find an American outlet with similarly consistent access to European cards. (If anyone knows of one, I'd be much obliged if you'd post/PM it.)

I plan on going to him once I get a list of cards I want in Russian together. . . and I know a friend found a similiar deal being friendly on MTGO and just asking what country people were from, and hit someone from Germany and got some cards off him through paypal. It'd probably be fairly easy to find trust worthy members on thesource that live in Europe and try and work something out.

Also starting with a cheap card since he is shipping from Russia before I mass order, but that is personal paranoia.

I got to know Clemens (the artist formerly known as Der Imaginaer Freund) (pardon poor spelling) and ended up trading him jeans for magic cards. It was a pretty good deal.

Japanese foils are still just foils with a bunch of scribbles on them. It's about preference and difficulty to find.

it's about supply and demand
there's a pretty good reason why the most expensive foils on the planet - by at least twice as much - are Japanese
but if you can't pimp out your deck, that's cool - mtg is a democratic game and you can get non-foils all over town

A couple quick notes: Some of the foils don't show up nicely (ie the Infernal Tutor), but everything that can be foil is foil (except the chain lightning). I need to get my Pyroblasts altered, I know. Boo @ my one odd LED and ESG. Past Pikachu #1 is the board. The three cards past the second Pikachu are not in my board right now but are mentionable imo. I use the Pikachus for ETW tokens.
