They really are aren't they? It just seems sad that a company that profits SO MUCH off of players created but WotC are held ransom, by some 3rd party company. Everyone pretty much guesses they are in some type of "cahoots" w/ WotC, ( SCG Grand Prix Denver :-/) you would hope that SCG doesn't end up creating a format that the card pool can't support and end up ruining the player base, the format, and ultimately the game. I understand that its just business, but many people play this game on a personal level so after some point it becomes more than that. It's just, so, classles.
By the way I have just about a playset of all of the staples save a Tabernacle, p3k cards, and Grim Tutor. I just want to be able to play this format for years to come. This means brining in new players. With the prices now this is not possible.
I'm in the same boat. I have a copy of just about everything short of 4 Grim Tutors and 2 Recruiters. I may not have a hard time building a deck to play, but finding people to actually play the game is getting rough.
I did not want my question buried by other posters. I hope that is okay with everyone.
Ben Bleiweiss,
Did starcitygames actually sell all of the LED copies that were in its inventory last week?
Rather than have people speculate, I would like to know from you. I remember you mentioning earlier that you would respond to requests.
Guys:
The answer for Lion's Eye Diamond is the same for other Legacy cards. Last week, we had 32 Lion's Eye Diamonds in stock with a $40 sell price, and a $25 buy price. Then we sold them all, and raised the price to $50 / $30. We just got a small amount into the system that came in from Regionals and the mail this past weekend. We've already sold a playset at the new price, in less than a few hours of the cards being in the system.
I also won't be coming back to this thread to give the same answer over and over and over. If it's a Legacy card, and we sold out of it and then raise our buy/sell prices, it's because we sold out of the card, and want to get more copies in stock asap.

Suddenly, people stoped wanting FOW and Wasteland and decided they all wanted LED...
I really don't see a problem with Starcity Games. As far as I can see, this company is supporting alot of people who want to play Legacy, have alot of money to spend, but apparently don't have enough time to find a cheaper dealer. It's common knowledge that SCG is the most expensive trader out there. You should give them kudos for selling so much for such a high price, it's good business. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the dumbass buyers who don't know where to buy cards for normal prices. If you think about it: SCG is buying for alot cheaper than they sell. If you just buy from the same people they buy from, you're saving lots of money. In Europe we have www.magiccardmarket.eu, I suppose there's a similair site for the US. If there's not, you just found yourself a nice niche in the market.
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably delicious.
