Yes, he can. It's an ability. Not a spell

If that's the only reason to run Shriekmaw I'd rather run Phyrexian Metamorph. Then you can kill Emralul and Progenitus as well as have some versatility in other MUs.

It also cannot be Spell Pierced or Spell Snared. Shriekmaw is pretty good at a lot of things.

There was many matches where Batterskull was really strong. I think its correct call to have one the deck, makes Stoneforge Mystic a must counter even more then it already is. Bitterblossom seem really interesting as well. Deck is really filling out with some of the most powerful 2cc dropps in the game currently.

Phyrexian Obliterator is my favorite creature ever and I'll be picking up a list close to Caleb Durwards. I've been playing way too much standard lately getting ready for the invitational and thanks to Cock Blade Obliterator isn't a good maindeck card. I'll definitely be playing him in Legacy though! It's a much more aggro deck but I like the looks of it a lot. I'm not sure about his board though, like what the fuck do you bring Batterskull in against? I need to find some Bitterblossoms now though.
Yeah I don't think it's enough of a threat on it's own to find a spot in the main, but I could potentially see it in the side against decks like Zoo or Thresh that have lots of burn or anything else with a lot of targeted removal.

When you guys search for extra removal - take Ghastly Demise

    And i tested Phyrexian unlife...
oh guys it was so brutal^^ i was playing vs gw aggro and yeah i run a list with alooot of removal and no discard and i just removed the enemies stuff until i got on board: phyrexian unlife + confi then i drew another confi and a third one - i was on 0 hp but drew 4 cards each turn, which made it possible to remove EVERYTHING my opponent played - i just mashed him.
and this epic thing happened twice to me at 4 testplays ^^ - i won 3 of em...
    it was great
i can just advise you to try it on your own :)

    Greetings

PS:why i dont run discards? In my Aggro-Control, Aggro meta its absolutely useless to run discard, its just a baad topdeck - i know a few of you will disagree but i tried to play with discard...and lost allllll the time.....

    - What are letters?
    - Kinda like mediaglyphics except they're all black, and they're tiny, they don't move, they're old and boring and really hard to read. But you can use'em to make short words for long words.

Whats the deal with one of the Deadguy decks running Cabal Therapy. I mean, we know it's a powerful card, and it's been around forever, but it really hasn't been getting any play in Legacy aside from fringe decks and dredge. What's the reasoning behind it's resurgence?

    Hey,
    tested this list today.
But i cant give you rly much comments to that, because i played vs vampires and UW control.
But i can say other things.
    Against UW control:
im exactly playing this list and i have to say, i draw all 1-of cards except of Top.
    Urborg = nice
1-of and i had it each game.
Obliterator was REALLY easy to play.
    Won easily and draw perfectly.

But i will test this list again in a few days.

Is that the version with Fetid Heath or? That land seem pretty sweet to fix mana. Where you can go from swamp, swamp, Fetid Heath for a Mirran Crusader.

Yep, still you could equip the Crusader, and a crusader + jitte is also crazy... 4 counters per attack can be a blast.

When I come to think about it cos of Fetid Heath its possible able to go for a turn 2 Elspeth from a dark Ritual.

I'm glad that BW is showing in recent top 8's.

On Fetid Heath, I really like the mana fixing it gives, something to consider if the deck is color intensive. Its slightly better than Godless Shrine since it doesn't shock us and gives better mana fixing.

Phyrexian Obliterator - I was considering to run this since it first came out but its manacost is giving issues which was now fixed as seen in recent tournament. It is an unblockable creature even better than flying which can still technically be blocked.

Do you guys just in general play Mother of Runes? And hows your proportion between removals(noncreature) and discard? I play 12-4

@ Philipp802: You will get the same answers like mtg-forum.

Mother of Runes is a slow card.
I think you wanna play her in T1, right?
But i recommend it to you, to play discard T1. Or Ritual-discard-confi.

Mother of runes needs 1 turn to survive to give your creatures prot. for everything.
ok, if you are playing a deck with vial, you can play her in T2 per vial ( no discard in this turns..) end of turn.
But i hope you aren't playing the vialversion :)

Like the other posts. Just my 2 cents :)

    I hope i could help a bit.

Dude honestly, have you ever tried with mom? i have tried without and it was horrible - i just got beaten down by the aggros - idk what you are fighting against but i wouldnt like to miss mother in any fight against some aggros like gw ...
do you guys think its ok to play 4 ghastly demise and 2 jotun grunt? I personally would play 2-2 or 4-0 or 0-2 ... atm I think 2-2 is best - dont you think so?

Re: [Deck] Deadguy Ale (B/w Confidant)

I don't really like mother either, I also think it's slow and I think disruption/bigger dudes are better.

About Grunt, I haven't been running those in a while, personally I run 10 discard & 5 removal, that has been fine for now, but I'm still testing it.
