@7.50 a piece, there's not much risk in my shockland investment IMO. I don't see it ever dipping below that due to Edh regardless of the outcome. Edh is a major player in prices now so I'm covered even if modern never makes it to paper. It'll just be a pain getting rid of them piece by piece.
Yeah I mean if you bought them to trade off for the purposes of playing the game and trading up I think you done good. If you bought them to turn a profit or for a long term collectible I think you made an error and could have picked a more sure thing and Shocklands will probably never double in price from where they are now since it's highly likely they will be the focal point of whatever new Eternal format WotC ends up going with and will be reprinted many times down the road.

There was a flood of them when T2 players dumped them in disgust but people know he's not going to stay @ $45 very long. He'll probably be back to 70 at least when Ext rolls around.
I'm a little bit confused with Jace.

That's a card for which I'd say is worth picking up a personal playset at the current market rate because he's so important to many different archetypes. And it's certainly likely that his value will go up in time for Extended season.

However, he's not a card that I would try to pick up more of a playset on for speculative purposes. There is a very strong possibility he can get reprinted in a duel deck, which would bottom out his value almost immediately. If I had to "convert" excess cards into something (besides cash), it would certainly be for something on the reserved list, or even a card not on the reserved list but which is less likely to be reprinted.

Afaik, it was made clear WotC will not reprint tMS.

That was probably in reference to being printed in a Standard legal set. Re-printing him as part of a Duel deck or a FTV:Banned in Standard is possible. However, I would tend to agree that it is unlikely that it will be re-printed.

But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.”

Or GP-promo, like they did with Jitte (ofc. not for Type 2 GP =))

What do you mean by "Warrior Oath"? I can't find any references to this!

I was able to grab 2 English copies at $9.99 each. I'm thinking if I should go ahead and get the rest (Last Chance, Final Fortune) ..

You're kidding, right? So, how many copies do you own, Shaka? Of course there wouldn't be any on Ebay, it's random P3K garbage.

It's sold out on ebay. SCG just upped their price by 150%.

Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

Any reason why this particular card is going up?

It's P3K, that helps.. but how many of these effects does a legacy deck want to play? Also, what EDH deck want a second or third (or even the first) one?

EDIT: Doesn't work with what? Isochron? Still works with Sundial combo though. That's all I can think of.

Yeah I'm not getting this hype. Probably someone just wants to hype so he can unload his set/s at insane prices...

Re: Raise, raise, raise. The price of cardboard

It's too low since most mediocre P3K rares are now like 10-20. If it was 10, I'm not surprised they upped it.

Right, so why would you want to play with the obscure P3k version when there is a cheaper and easier to find portal version of the same card, ontop of an instant speed even easier to find version of the card that allows you to use Scepter for infinite turns?

Card isn't worth even 10 dollars except the fact that it's rare.

Warrior's Oath is garbage. If it goes up at all it's only for the casuals.

I can't believe you guys are speculating Magic cards like this is Wall Street, lol.

That's a business venture on the same level as selling weed if you smoke weed, or if your speculating Warrior's Oath to turn a profit, buying a restaurant you don't know how to run.

I'm from a country where selling weed is a very profitable business, and attracts millions of people each year. just so you know
