Nobody plays Standstill anymore. Dismember comes in from the sideboard. They can't skimp anymore on their manabase. They can't skimp on their disruption. That leaves pieces of their clock. Usually an ineffective beater like Kira and some misc 3 mana lords.

Been there, tried that, still casting Doomsday.

That's what I mean, they replaced Standstill with Dismember...
Anyway, thanks for that. I didn't really think about how they lost threats for the Dismembers. I guess that makes sense, if they are more threat light, then we have more time to set up. Thanks for that, I get it now.

I think we're fine with them Dismembering out Xantid's and giving us Storm -2 for our win to be honest.

Hey guys, I was just thinking about TES vs Hive Mind MU but since I don't know a good Hive Mind player I'm in doubt about what they will side out and in against us, I'm expecting Leylines , Missteps(if not MD) and maybe Spell Pierces or even Angel's Grace but what I can't figure out is what they are taking out from their decks to put all those things(if they are bring all)?

    Thx.

well looking at their sideboard, most of them, nearly 100% of them, have a set of leyline of sanctity. so expect that white leyline if you'll anticipate this deck in your meta. another, pierce and MM came in 2nd. then MBT. last is the show and tell - emrakul route.

let me share a thing, i dont know if others will ok on it, if i am expecting a lot of enchantments in a meta, i would bring in 1 trops and 1 reverent silence in my SB.

I DON'T KNOW! (the all caps is for Bryant who has been dogging me to find the archive).

It was on the SCGLive feed, but they seem to have forgotten to put up videos for SCGSeattle.

Another feature match with my in it. I normally play faster btw, I was just worried no one would be able to follow, but it does seem I went a little fast.

Ignore my complete punt with Ad Nauseam.

I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums

Burning Wish is a pair of training wheels, huh? I better step up, take off my pampers, and learn to play ANT like the rest of the sheep.

Everytime I sleeve up ANT it's not long before I switch back to TES.

ANT is just that mundane and linear. You lose in the same consistent fashion.

He takes 19 dmg from AdN. Thing is: hes not on 19 life but on 20. They made a fault by counting his opponent's fetchland (wooded Foodhills) from Liam's life.

@ comboman: I think cook's reply is very ironic. the term "sheep" says everything.
@ liam: i really like your style of play. whenever i visit a larger tournament i feel that i haven't the balls to play storm (tried doomsday in smaller events, but prefer Tes atm). Aren't you afraid that this archetype is a falling star in a mental misstep-environment?

What people fail to realize is that Misstep has killed off our worst match-up in Countertop decks. I'll take Misstep over Counterbalance every day.
