@John: you don't care... let it be gentlemen agreement you tell them what it does (and not be a complete dickhead to lie) when they ask... still it is a bit unfair, many may hesitate to ask xth-time and some cards have wording nuances you do not realize until you read them carefully... still you legally do not care, they can ask judge for oracle
I guess everyone lost a game at some point due to not knowing the card exactly =/ and this can hardly be prevented
haven't met anyone who would try to yet, its not a best reference attached to yourself at a local shop...
I mean it like - people often just think they know the card and foreign language keep them blind and the truly learn them after they lose
(for example 4/5 players I've ever set up in Magus of the Tabernacle and italian Tabernacle situation first time lost all their creatures due to missing the triggers... I felt a bit bad about it so I always exactly translated it when I played it)
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
1. Discuss the unbanning ofLand TaxEarthcraft.
2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
4. Stifle Standstill.
5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).
The place I play at is really a casual environment on par with an FNM so I'm not too worried about getting a game loss. The reason I keep English cards is that I went to time in a few matches the first time I played belcher there because a lot of players weren't familiar with manamorphose or serum powder, there were even questions about burning wish being exiled after it resolved and the number of tokens empty the warrens generated.
A lot of players here are unfamiliar with legacy or are playing so they can play their deck from 1996 with 4x mindtwist. It doesn't help when I do well which I tend to with belcher for for some reason. I also just assumed that when people play weird stuff like Teferi's Realm for the first time in an area people have questions and it being Japanese or Korean can't help.
It's not Legacy... but it's what I got so far...

Can you point out to me what I could be doing better?
I know that I have not foiled out everything, and I dont own real power but then again, i am a college student, and I started playing again right before Scars of Mirrodin with no collection what so ever. I have a good bit of it foiled, i prefer white bordered duals because they are easier to fetch and I really like English foils over asian foils, I have English Mana Drains, a Korean Vampiric Tutor, a Japanese Academy and Riptide Lab, a Beta Demonic Tutor and an Alpha Sol Ring among other cards in my collection. The deck is pimped the way I want it to be for the time being, and honestly who are you to say anything about my cards or the particular cards that I like to collect?
I find your comment rather shallow and pedantic.
i am sure he didnt wanna come across rude. but this is the pimp card thread, no no-real power is not only NOT pimp, these proxies even arent mtg cards.
white bordered revised duals are easy to get and cheap and also non-pimp. playing them to fetch them easier is just a smart way to save time in a game. i am doing that myself, my duals are also wb german revised and nonpimp.
but the rest of the deck - it is clearly visible you are trying to upgrade a lot of cards, all in all the deck looks pretty good to me, except for the power. there is still a long way to go until it can be accepted as pimp by the majority of people.
but on the other hand, what the fuck do i care if other people like my deck? itīs about personal preference and no one can build a fully pimped deck overnight.
i noticed that there are two ways of general pimping:
-the one way is to go by personal preferences
-the other way is seeking for the most expensive version of any card
for me it is something between both for example, and many other people are going that path too, but each one in a different way. and thatīs good, otherwise youīd see a lot of same decks and then it wouldnīt be special and exciting to see them!
so just keep being you (but upgrade the power one day ;-) )
cheers

I could care less about WB vs BB as some WB cards are more rare then the BB version. I do find mixing anything other than English and X other language or A/B/U sets trashy looking. Your reasoning behind Asian vs. English foils doesn't really make any sense. I could understand if you had just Korean cards where foils were not printed until recently but having a chunk of Japanese kind of null and voids your argument or lack there of. I'm all for "to each their own" but when you post something that just looks shitty expect to have some words thrown your way. Just as you have your opinions of what looks good I have my own. If you really liked your collection as it is, why be so defensive? Exactly.
They might not be magic cards but I actually love seeing well done proxies. After so many vintage tourneys of seeing scribbled on ornithopters and such, its nice to see someone put some work into them. Plus, idk if you have ever been to the pimp alter/proxy thread on i think its mtgsal but foil P9 looks sexy as all hell.
Those are gaming etc proxies, they're factory made.
Edit: the time vault is a proxy print out from http://magiccards.info/
i got a warning for criticizing someone's cards in this thread
people are too precious
if you don't want criticism, why do you post your cards - just to get some random salivating over a black boardered sol ring?
feedback is a two-way street, you have to expect both good and bad if you put your cards forward for inspection in a pimp thread

Seems I was not the only one going non-foil japanese combo =).
Not quite finished yet but soon.
@WargzII: That trop is hilarious! :)
I'm sorry, but you are in the wrong place. This is the pimp thread. If you just want to post random garbage please go to www.mtgsalvation.com
That deck makes my eyes bleed and if you think thats pimp you are probably driving around in a car that looks something like this...
