I've got the judge wastes because they're new boardered like most of the deck's foils. If the deck was mostly old boardered, I'd have gotten player rewards ones.

I must say, nice lands deck! How much did you shell out for those foil ports? I still can't force my self to pay 130 euros for foil piece Foil Ports, what gives!?!?

Thus the eternal dichotomy of the foil zealot. The reserved list prvents you from ever foiling most decks. Then you have marked cards ... and some random non-foils. But I respect you guys for trying, its like the guy who goes for a high dollar call girl when he's hammered but can't get wood.

Thanks, the foil ports were just terrible. I sold my set of goyfs to cover the cost of most of them, but they cost around 120-140 usd each

My EDH Deck. I don't do Foil (I know I know, I'm a pretentious jerk), but I have a lot of Alpha/Beta cards in it. Basically this deck is a nostalgic representation of the early years of magic when I started playing the game. It includes all the old school cards and strategies that I either played or played against and now as an adult I can afford the Alpha versions of the cards.

I toyed with the idea of using only the old card frame for aesthetic reasons, but that would limit me from a lot of mana fixing plus I like the option of playing some of the new cards and don't want the deck to be too static. Basically it's important the deck retains an old school look and feel to it so I prioritize old frame cards particularly cards from Alpha and early expansions. There are two FBB cards in the deck. I have English BB version but they are in my T1 collection which takes pimping priority and I don't want to own double English BB versions.

Lastly, since I'm not into foils, one of the ways I pimp the lesser expensive cards that cant be found in Alpha/Beta is to get them signed, there there are a number of random signed cards, which I would like to get more of. I have a signed Sower on the way. If you notice an inexpensive card I don't have signed and wanna help me out, PM me. Also, I'm replacing the Time Stretch with Temporal Manipulation.

Just picked up that Beta Wrath. It's played, but I'm trying not to spend too much more on this deck... so I was able to get a decent price on it. They're hard to find. Rout is signed.


Also just picked up that Beta Doppelganger. One of the more beautiful looking cards in Beta. Notice the Alpha Royal Assassin :) One of my favorite cards.


Sword of F&I in old card frame! Too bad it's foil, but old card frame trumps the fact that it's foil. I hope F&F gets the same treatment. Can you guess who signed the Phyrexian Metamorph? :) Douplicant is also signed.


You can't tell from the pic but that Beta Forcefield is pack fresh. One of my favorite old school cards and favs in this deck. Also just upgraded my Chaos Orb to Beta. I realize that card is banned but I have a local rule that says that you chose (not target) one card in play and flip on it, instead of the whole field and if it touches the chosen card it's destroyed as well as any equipment or enchantments on it. The rule seems to work fine. Regarding the Sol Ring - my Beta one is in my T1 deck, but that mint signed Unlimited one looks really pimp and I like how it stands out being WB. Mana Valut is signed.


Invoke Prejudice is a crazy card. Haven't had much experience playing with it but it seems pretty good, especially after a board is wrathed which happens a lot in multiplayer. Also just got the Alpha Stasis so haven't tested it, but that is one of the coolest looking cards and the effect is so crazy that it has to be fun in multiplayer. Plus it's a freaking Alpha Stasis! Treachery and Persuasion are signed.


Recently added Sorin. Going to replace Temple with an Island probably cause I need more on color mana and Temple suck if you draw it early. Island of Wak Wak is major style points and also a great card.


I love the art on Adakar Wastes and hey I found a signed one! City of Brass is signed.


Hallowed Fountain is signed.


Went with foil basics just to help distinguish them from the rest of the deck. I feel like beta basics is a bit overdone. Yep Dakkon is my General. When I decided to make an EDH deck knew that the general had to be from the original Legends expansion. Couldn't find an elder dragon I loved so went with Dakkon which I'm happy with.
