I opened a pack of Prophecy I found lying around and all the commons were out of focus.

Is there any value in blurry misprints? I would take a picture, but autofocus actually makes the cards look pretty normal

Nice Choke too, Petal Collector. ...I'm in the middle of foiling out GWb Maverick, and just found an NM 8th foil Choke for 50 cents. It was most triumphant.

Ancestral Recall alteration is done. As with all my previously posted alterations, the base card is a fair/poor condition Unlimited card. I intentionally went for the worst condition cards I could find that still had a semi-clean front and were structurally stable enough to be played.



I'll post scans of the remaining cards (Black Lotus, Mox Ruby, Time Vault, 2x Unlimited Underground Seas, 2x Unlimited Volcanic Islands, and 2x Unlimited Tropical Islands) as my artist finishes them and sends them to me.

But the rest of us enjoy his unique expression of something he enjoys with cards that he will likely never trade anyway.

Its no different then the guy who had Disney Characters done on his beat Beta power.

Mint cards sure I can see an argument being made to preserve them but as far as played stuff goes do what makes you happy and don't venerate cardboard to much. I still remember cracking and playing these cards unsleeved on the playground blacktop. As much as they are part of our collective history as gamers their just card.

I just realized I never actually posted this to this thread. This is one of the cards that despite their value, will always have a way higher personal value to me. A good Russian friend of mine, Sergey from Moscow, gave it to me as a present at GP Amsterdam. We had met previously at GP Madrid 2010 where he (despite not knowing me) lent me a Moat for my deck.

Sergey says it's a Russian custom to give altered cards to friends. Definitely one of my best (maybe the very best) memory not only associated with Magic :-)

You've clearly never been to a GP, where you see stacks of power in most of the dealer's cases. Unlimited power isn't as rare as you think.
And even if it was super rare as you seem to think it is, he has the right to do whatever he likes with his property. Hell, I don't like ponies as all, but I still give mad props to him for putting the time and money into making his beat up unlimited power truely HIS.
