yes, i wasnt specific before when i said there is no chinese masques. of course there is, one of the brainstorm playsets in the picture is chinese. but he was looking for foils, so i didnt mention "foil" in my post -.-

Some of you might have played long enough to remember 5CW from the old mirvlight/tempest era of Type II. It ran diamonds, tithes, shadow guys, and all the 'good stuff' from other colors ... good back in those days being Man o' War and Bolts.

I don't remember 5CW, but I do remember 5CU however. BoP, Quirion Ranger, Disrupt, Stp, etc. Janky ass deck that plays like Gro without the Growth. Nice deck however! Those Land Tax need to be in Korean for full respek. :P

Yeah, I need some better Paths as well. Maybe next time Dern throws a playset on eBay in the russians I'll grab them. I currently have 3 x crispy english legends and 1 Japanese 4th. At this point I just want to flip the Jap one for a fourth english legends. Now is not the time to be buying Korean Land Taxes. At the GP one vendor had them for $90, GamingETC has one for $60 and it sat there the whole event.

Edit: It's also fun to watch RU(g) delver players pack their shit to Priest / Worship.

So, as I promised, the Beta Cube is now complete.

I've arranged all the deals for all the Beta Basic lands (god, they're expensive when you're buying 200 of them). When they all show up in the mail, I'll take some good pictures of the Cube in its entirety. :)

Pimp question from an aspiring pimp for all you expert pimps - which is more pimp? Foil fetches or DCI Judge foil fetches?

I wasn't sure which way to go on this one since the judge foils don't have any alternate art on them. Are judge foils in general less desirable than the original foil editions?

If you like FNM foils and you can get most of your deck in new frames, I see no reason not to go for judge foils over set foils. If you just like spending money then drugs and prostitutes are probably more fun.

Yes and no. Prostitutes can leave nasty things that keep on giving, and only last for the evening. Once you buy cards, they're non-consumable. You get to keep them until you sell them! My entire basis of spending money on cards is that if this went towards coke or booze or broads, I'd have nothing to show for it once I wake up out of my stupor. Plus, it appreciates in value. It's not like the booze I bought and turned into urine is now suddenly worth more money three months after I bought that drink.
