that deck don't play only counterbalance, he play spell pierce spell snare fow...and with sensei on the board it's impossible win why he can switch with the counter on the top of the library...if you play against a good opponent if he don't draw only land, it's hard to win for storm combo

Perhaps I misread the post I was initially referring to. You said you now run a wishlist which performs good, but has problems with UW Miracle, which implied to me it was easier for you to play against UW Miracle without wishes. So I was wondering why it's easier without wishes. Ignore my post, if I misinterpret you :-)

Top + Hardcounter on top of the Library can give you more headaches than Counterbalance. It's pretty annoying to play against.

I have been testing this deck on cockatrice... Man its so fun... What is like an optimal build? Or just a standard build?

I feel like Thought Scour could ad some value to the deck. Anybody ever tryed it out?

I haven't tried it, but it seems like it wouldn't do enough. While it is an instant-speed cantrip and could provide some synergy with IGG, Cabal Ritual, and PiF, ultimately it probably isn't strong enough to warrant a place in this deck. What would you cut for it?

Those synergies sound good to. But I was thinking more like you Duress them they Brainstorm then you Thought Scour. I just hate when the discard plan isn't as good when they have Brainstorm, especiallyif you Therapy them. Could even be good against Counterballence and or Top.

    Iv been running
    2 Thoughtseize
    3 Duress
    3 Therapy
    3 G Probe

I think I would only play 1 or 2 if any. I'd probably cut a Duress and Probe maybe.
Idk,in my experiences against Brainstorm especially on the draw it turns the discard plan to not so good.

    If someone is interested:

    Ovino7 - Vintage, Legacy & Modern

Saturday Legacy: ~450 players: finalist were Del Valle (from Spain with reanimator) and Schunemann (from Germany - the winner of GP Ghent - with ANT), wins Schunemann

    Taken from: http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=44498.0

He played the same list from Gent and went 7-1-1
    Top 16 Elimination Rounds.

You make good points. The problem with using it against CounterTop is they are already going to float a one-drop to stop all your Dark Rituals, Ponders, Brainstorms, Duresses, etc. so they may often be able to counter the Thought Scour too. If you test it out I'd like to hear how it goes for you.

Does he have a report in English for either tournament?

Re: [Deck] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils)

Nope there is no english report. Only a german blogentry about the trip and the tournament. But it is not very detailed on how the matches played out.

I can write you down the decks he encountered if there is some interest:

    Swiss:

    Round 1: black/white massive discard deck (perhaps death&taxes): 2:0
    Round 2: Rug Delver: 2:1
    Round 3: UW Miracle: 1:2
    Round 4: UW Mircale: 2:0
    Round 5: Goblins: 2:0
    Round 6: Mono W: 2:0
Round 7: Rock: 2:x (not able to see the exact result out of the text)
    Round 8: Dredge: 2:0
    Round 9: ID into Top16

    Top 16:

    Round 10: Reanimator: 2:0
    Round 11: UW Miracle: 2:0
    Round 12: BantBlade: 2:0
    Finals: Reanimator: Price Split

    Best Regards

As I saw him revealing to some Ad Nauseams, with a good chunk of luck I assume ;)

Re: [Deck] ANT (Ad Nauseam Tendrils)

Really odd night last night lol. I lost 0/2 to Goblins and won 2/0 against Reanimater.

I had plenty of mana G1 but after 3 cantrips I just couldn't get a business spell.
G2 I try a different board approach,3 Ratchet Bomb. I wanted them to be Engineered Explosives but know one them to let me use. So I mull to a decent 5. I end up going off with Ad Nauseam and loose
    to it :(

Reanimater G1 Im on the play. I Duress and take his Brainstorm, then Thoughtseize his Careful Study via Lotus Petal. I recover faster and kill him :)
G2 He is able to Reanimate a Sphinx of the Steelwind, lucky for me haha. I go off the next turn after theraping his double Force of Wills.

Pride was a little hurt after loosing to Goblins but o well it happens. 2/0 ing Reanimater cheered me up :)

Any Jupiter games goers on here? I'm thinking about going this month. Iv seen the top 8 list from past months,ANT looks like it could do well. I don't really know though,I haven't been there in along time.
Any info on Jupiter's meta helps. Thanks in Advanced.

LSV playing almost the same list as Timo's that won GP Ghent: http://www.channelfireball.com/artic...-legacy-event/

he is inexperienced with the deck and makes some poor choices both play and SB, in fact it's worth watching just out of curiosity

Inexperienced? The guy won the GP and played finals in a major European tournament.

He is inexperienced with the deck. He picked up the deck about 2 months before the GP. Was playing Dredge before. He is just good, that's the thing.

Also, I think Slosh meant LSV, and I agree that he made mistakes.

If you guys could point out particular instances you notice that would be very helpful for those of us who are less experienced. I know I'd appreciate it.

Timo was in fact quite inexpierenced with the deck when he won the GP (still he was the guy their playgroup tested against when playing against storm so that counts for something).
But like HokusSchmokus said he is a very good player which is more important then being experienced, I've seen that one time and again when pro's decided to pick up a deck and owned regular legacy players just on account of play skill.
That being said I wouldn't assume his list is "perfect" (I see so many people copying his list and taking it to tournaments but take into account that while the list is solid it is by no means a list forged throught months of testing.
