thanks markers!
I came across this recently. The odd thing is that the card above the Tundra is completely white except for the surrounding black edge (not the off-white of a white card, but actually plain white). Also, you cannot see any artist credit on the card above. And in addition, the top 1.5-2mm of the card is not glossy, while the rest of the card is glossy like a normal card (you can sort of see what I'm talking about in the second and last photos). I was talking to someone and he said he thought the card above the Tundra was a special test print card to check that the sheet was printing properly, and thus was matte white and lacking an artist credit. Does anybody have any info about this? I've never come across anything like this before and tried to find out something via Google but with no luck.

been waiting a long time for these.

Haven't seen a signed Merchant Scroll in ages. Sweet!
My pics are too low res, but 1 is german.

A "Handelsvertrag" from "Heimländer" is badassery at its finest. Is that a reason English speaking players consider German cards to be pimp (obv. apart from them being rarer and harder to come by), being able to yell at your opponent in a crazy, angry, German voice when you cast stuff? :D
The fact that German is legible script means trying to sound out words that have so many syllables and letters is very fun to do

Speaking as someone who regularly needs to deal with the fact that absurdly long german translations of text makes user interface design tricky, I take some perverse pleasure in playing with cards that have some of those absurdly long words on them. I mean why play with a Bayou when you can have a Mangrovensumpf?

Yeah, German translations are pretty "great". I especially like how Demonic Tutor tells you not to forget to shuffle your library after you search.
I took this a while back, but, like my non-Alpha/Beta/AN/AQ/LG pimp, it seemed like small potatoes compared to most of the other stuff in this thread so I never bothered to post. It seems relevant right about now though...
German and Russian are my go to languages when I don't feel like English, so I pick up random cards when opportunities present themselves (though some cards are just hilarious in Korean, like the Sex Monkey in the photo). This is just a tiny fraction of my German collection (though much of it is stuff that isn't worth posting because it's just pet/EDH cards and the rest are for Vintage in situations where the card was not in Alpha/Beta).

We play with the "newest" rules so that it doesn't get confusing with newer players/older players and such. And Chaos Orb is legal, you have to flip it and it can be pretty hard sometimes, especially since there's usually a couple of beers involved in every game...
