Ugh, that sucks. I got mucked for $8 on $25 once, and I wasn't pleased at all. but, it wasn't from an Ebay seller, so I complained. Nothing really happened, but complain I did.

Yeah, it's Import taxes + some extra stuff, the taxes only aren't so bad, it's understandable, those were about 9 dollar, the rest is the post office claiming that it's really complicated to do the whole declaring to customs thing so they do it for you, but it costs 18 dollar -.-

Um, that's why I always send birthday presents out to people. I have lots of friends, and because of this, they have lots of birthday gifts that need sending. Funnily enough, they're only always $20-25 in value, no matter how much the market may dictate.

Russian Goyfs came in today with Mini1337's, so my playset is complete. I'll upload a pic when I get them.

Recently traded with SupREME-10 for this spiffy life counter. It actually feels and looks like high-grade plastic--I'm not sure what the assembly process is, but it clearly works--and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it around town.

Yup..usually you're paying VAT (19% in Germany, no idea how much it is in the Netherlands though) plus an some kind of additional fee (in case the post office has to collect the money from you and has to pay the customs office in advance). 26 dollars seems like a lot though. The one time my order from overseas didn't go unnoticed, I had to pay 8€ for about 45$ worth of stuff. (approx. 19%)

They just bumped up the VAT from 19% to 21% in the Netherlands. But, you don't have to pay import-taxes when you're shipping between Germany and the Netherlands, right? Same tax region (EU). Or, did you order from the US?

Yeah was an order from US, but i didnt think that such a small order would get taxed

Any complaint concerning import taxes should be made to your government and not an eBay seller. Someone in Italy purchased $100 from me and was charged $25 for customs. He was upset at me and gave me negative feedback. Of course eBay removed it since you can no longer leave negative feedback disputing customs charges. He assumed I knew Italy's customs laws. I actually had someone in Brazil buy a 60 card sleeved deck and wanted me to ship it in a white envelope to avoid customs. I can be just as accomodating as the next guy, but seriously? It's really annoying.

I didn't give him a negative feedback nor did i complain to him, because as you said, it's not his fault.
However it still is really annoying :(

Nice Fetches! Totally understandable on the import thing. Just make sure you send and receive gifts often when you can, if you have nice friends :)

Glad you like it coraz86 -- I have done a number of them now, and I assure you that it is actually made from exactly 20 MTG cards, I am writing an article on the how to, so maybe once I get that up I will post you a link. I encourage others to try making them; so long as you have about 4+ hours to spend doing it, that one took me about 5 hours total and it is not as detailed as some I have done.

I don't know if these are technical pimp so no pictures, but 4 Chinese abrupt decay arrived today. I couldn't find anything other than English and Chinese to preorder (Like no foils either -WTF!) So they're all I have for now.
