Vials and Snapcasters just don't mix, but still cool looking deck :)

Need some Geists in there of something :)

Need about 3 more cards for my Mav deck, hope to post that soon.

Very, very nice. I was close 57/60 (though using Unlimited over Beta), but when foil Jaces went from $250 to $800, I knew I was priced out. Respect though, not an easy bunch of cards to obtain.

I gotta ask, and i think this is the place for it. Im operating under the assumption that japanese, korean, and russian foils are the move valuable because of their scarcity. Does anyone know how scarce they actually are? Numbers, distributions compared to English and so forth?

I'm guessing that they are also more scarce because they are not offered as possible redemption options from MTGO, is that correct?

I just wanted a general consensus. What would be more Pimp non foil deck with beta duals, or a foil deck with fbb duals ?

I've been thinking about turning my fbb to beta, but unsure if I can swing both foil and beta.

You should do what you think looks the best, as pimp is in the eye of the beholder. I would 100% go for unfoil + beta, but I don't like foils, so.

Buy your beta duals now, but save the Underground Seas for me

Honestly, full beta duals in non-foil deck is not pimp, just pimp lands..

English foil is not pimp (except WWK Jace), but a good place to start.

Whether you like foils or not, you have to recognize foils have value.

Meh some people just like being able to read their own cards. No harm in that.

I got some extra beta seas if you want them ;)
What it takes to be a pimp:
    1. Knowing the right people.
    2. Have the money
Not one or the other, but both.

What does price have to do with aesthetics? Barring you don't have taste or class, but let's leave that to the gangster rappers.

100 copies of Putrefy is still worth $50, but that doesn't make it aesthetically pleasing. Value is not strictly the criterion for pimping.

Glad to see those Volcs I advised you on came out well :P

I also picked up a really interesting piece today. I know there exists Alpha-cut Beta (due to the presence of Alpha Volcanic(s)), but I think I may have bought into (unknowingly) and Alpha-cut Beta Tropical Island. I didn't notice it when I picked it up, but it's Alpha cut with Jesper as the artist credit.

I did the bend test, and I'll take a jeweler's loupe and do the light test tomorrow morning to make sure it's not fake (99.9% sure it's legit). It's from Troll and Toad and the owner had it since early 2000, so this is a most interesting thing. I'm wondering if this was legitimately cut with Alpha dies or cut AFTER leaving Wizards.

The issue is, there would be no point 12-13 years ago to cut a Beta into an Alpha, considering Alpha only a few years previous Alpha was not legal for play/not in high demand due to the card uniformity issues.

I'll post it up when I get the chance.

I applaud you sir! It took me quite some time to complete my set but I love it to pieces. Ran them yesterday in Gr Tron at a Modern tournament where most opponents had to look twice at the card since its not played very often (at least not the portal version)...

IMHO, it's the best looking card printed. The colors, the bolt text, the old frames, the art itself. As a package it's probably my favorite looking card. Top three are an A/B Demonic Tutor, Portal Pyroclasm and A/B Dark Ritual. Close fourth would be A/B REB. I have simple taste
