    Re: [DTB] Elves!

The real Problem is that outside of M15 we won't see any new Elves printed for the next 2 years as the current and next set aren't woven around classical Fantasy creatures/topics. All tribal decks share that problem and the best you can hope for is the next Craterhoof :/

P.S. Looks like the following block picks up the "Desert"-Theme from Arabian Nights but without the classical references to the tales in the book

So, I guess Mr. Lemnear is finally getting on the Ruric Thar train eh!?

    @Gabriel

I mean without references to the book "Arabian Nights" aka no more Aladin, Jinn's and stuff. A simple block around the fight for water in a desert World or such ... Dunno

For the Miracles-Thread, there was the question if a second Karakas makes sense to run and I even if I DON'T run Thar myself, some players however do. I used him to point out the usefullness of Karakas against Legendary Hatebears like Teeg/Thalia/Ruric among options to battle Reanimator and SneakShow

    @Peter

For the references, I ment about the next set being "desert" based.
As for Ruric Thar, I'm just rubbing it in since I know you're not on that band-wagon! :D

So, since my first coffee this morning (approx 2 hours ago and I am on my 3rd....) I've been thinking about cutting Acolyte and bring in a second Dryad Arbor.

I really like Acolyte since he/she/it can get you out of a tight spot, but my inner self is debating if I would find more utility in a second Dryad to search w/ fetchland then sac to NO. If I implement that thing, I might have to cut 1 Birchlore Ranger to bring in more Quirion Ranger. It's my big debate of the week.

Do it. The lesson we have learned lately is, that it doesn't matter what config you run as long as the metagame refuses to adjust to 1/1 Elves Aggro with combo Backup lol

Still too less Pyroclasms and Engineered Explosives in the metagame

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

To be honest, lately, tons of weird ideas have been thru my head.

I see Elves! as a "Deception" deck. People still have weird conceptions of the deck when they play against it. But lately, some people have shown understanding of it and are planning in accordance.

What about we keep following that thread and explore more of the interactions we can achieve with that deck? We have access to UNLIMITED mana(Cradle,Heritage/Nettle) from any colors (Birchlore),card draw (Glimpse,Visionaries), and we are passively a combo deck.

    WISH BOARD TIME?

I second the "do it" sentiment. I've been finding that second Dryad Arbor to be a real boon. Creature, forest, not an elf (which occasionally has advantages), makes mana, blocker, hoof-enhancer, NO sacrifice, cradle-enhancer, fetch target, Green Sun's target, etc.

You forgot Peacekeeper. It's the auto-win in the mirror! Well, almost.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

    Re: [DTB] Elves!

So. It might be a real waste of time, but I really like the idea. It doesn't mean it's good, but it could be quite funny.

Wishboard....alright. Only cards that can finish the game by themselves or help achieve that goal should be included in there.

First, let's make room MD for 4 x Living Wish :

    -1 Multani's Acolyte
    -1 Crop Rotation
-1 Gaea's Cradle (being moved to Wishboard)
-1 Cratherhoof Behemoth (being moved to Wishboard)

Also mean that we have to change the whole SB configuration.

    1 x Cratherhoof Behemoth
    1 x Gaea's Cradle
1 x Emrakul, The Aeons Torn

    Any other ideas?

Jeez.....As much as I would like to see that thing be real, I'm second guessing myself in the validity of the idea....
