Against decks with Thalia / Canonist I always try to Show and Tell early enough so you can take at least a turn of damage. This allows you to cunning wish for a solution for canonist, or have enough mana for Thalia.
Against decks with Emrakul, how do you win? It's a risk to play "release the ants" in case he reveals Emrakul, and risk too if you try to cast your Emrakul because you have only 1 attack available to win.. Then you deck yourself and you lose.
You can just cast another enter the infinite and put back a card to get another turn.
And in most cases , kicked river + annihilator is enough to clear the path
Remember that you can chain enter the infinites to buy extra turns, as was mentioned before. If you have zero cards in your library, you draw nothing, then put one card from your hand on top of your library. This usually makes it pretty safe to get the win, since with Emrakul + infinites you have 4 more turns after casting your first Infinite to win.
If you've drawn your deck, you can always try for release the ants. If it doesn't work, then just go for Emrakul and get extra turns to finish the game.
Ok I got that. By why people play the Emrakul plan rather than Laboratory Maniac plan? There are many cards that prevent multiple damage, prevent target (opponent), prevent multiple spells, prevent attack. OK we have solutions in sideboard, but a single Thalia (and a mother of Ruin) can... ruin our game...
@Leejay:
how would you sideboard against.
1.)mono brown stacks
2.)ANT
There is a Legacy competition once in every month in my town. Last time I became 3rd among 9 players with UWr Miracles. This Sunday there were 11 participants and I played Omni-Tell. After weeks of hesitation I chose to play this list:
3 City of Traitors
2 Polluted Delta
2 Flooded Strand
2 Scalding Tarn
1 Misty Rainforest
9 Island
1 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
3 Dream Halls
4 Omniscience
3 Cunning Wish
3 Pact of Negation
4 Brainstorm
4 Force of Will
4 Enter the Infinite
4 Ponder
4 Preordain
4 Show and Tell
1 Gitaxian Probe
1 Intuition
1 Flusterstorm
SB: 1 Trickbind
SB: 1 Slaughter Pact
SB: 1 Sapphire Charm
SB: 1 Rushing River
SB: 1 Release the Ants
SB: 1 Noxious Revival
SB: 1 Intuition
SB: 1 Eladamri's Call
SB: 2 Defense Grid
SB: 4 Leyline of Sanctity
SB: 1 Pact of Negation
1st round: I won 2-0 against a beginner with Dragonstorm.
2nd round: I won 2-0 against a Pro Tour participant with Esper Stone-Blade.
3nd round: I lost 0-2 against Jund. in the second game I mulligan for an opening hand Leyline but I did not come. I started with only 3 cards and certainly lost.
4th round I won 2-1 against Goblins.
So I become the second after the Jund player!
After the event I challenged the Jund player to take a revenge: I won 4-0!

Anyone tried Karakas as a 1-of to help the thalia, Teeg, reanimator match ups?
Why has this deck fallen off in popularity so dramatically so quickly?
What about Swan Song? It counters Instants while comboing, it counters discards while on setting up and it counters opponent's Dream Halls/Sneak Attack in case of mirror match.
Is Defense Grid sufficient/better?
Surely Swan Song has got those advantages. As it is a hard counter in certain situations it is better than Pierce. But in case of a longer game the 2/2 creature token is lethal.
Swan Song can be countered. Against those decks we would bring in after SB those have more counterspells than we do.
Defense Grid prevents counter war that is why it is better.

But Defense Grid than makes PoN useless, doesn't it?
if our list ran 2-3 Swang Song MB we might add Defense Grid in g2 leaving our full 7 counters inside to protect both the combo and the grid (in case)
I'd test some SS in place of PoN.. while comboing they're almost the same and while you set your hand up SS > PoN
Also, I don't see why we don't play more Intuition MD and 1 Noxious Revival MD too.. IMHO we rely too much on Cunning Wish
Why would Defense Grid make PoN useless? Our counter magic is primary used to protect our own combo when we're going off...
I meant in case of 2-3 Swan Song and Defense Grid online. And obv 4 FoWs
ive found maindeck pacts to be next to useless in the current meta ive been playing against.
daze or swan song have been 1000x better as im wanting to stop discard that will rip apart the combo pieces i do have or an early thalia g1.
Pact is only good the turn you are going off and force and daze end up being the same if you are going off early.
daze/pact come out obv when you are bringing in Grid so that you aren't sitting on a ton of dead cards.
ive been running 1 intuition/1 flusterstorm main and 1 intuition in the board. I have a pact in the board for the turn before going off to force their counter out (ie i wish their EOT and either they counter the wish or i get pact and have double protection).
for the Emrakul question a page or so back.. wish => noxious revival a card from your opp gy usually deals with the chance of emrakul being on top.
unfortunately ive been finding most of my losses lately being due to missing lines of play and ive been playing this deck for 6 months or so. anyone who thinks this is an easy deck to play is either a) wrong or b) a TPS player.
coming out of the two big tournaments this past weekend, it seems like punishing fires decks will be well positioned to take on Death and Taxes and OmniTell (other than maindeck Thalia) has a pretty good matchup with D&T in my experience.
