    Cunning Wish costs 3.

Flusterstorm is already more of a counter than PoN. I don't think the deck has room for too many more counters as it needs to find the combo pieces. That being said, flusterstorm is a powerhouse against discard in Game 1, especially T2 Thoughtseize or Hymn. It's also a "real counter" against other Show and Tell decks, and I even used it to counter a Fireblast. Sometimes it makes me wait an extra turn to go off compared with PoN, but often I can use a City to make sure I have enough mana to go off with flusterstorm backup.

Wipe away is fine. Rushing River is also fine. I don't have a strong preference, but against some decks the pseudo uncounterability is nice. Very powerful in the mirror. I'd say it hasn't affected many if any games to my knowledge, as long as you have 2 wishable ways to deal with hatebears. Rushing River is probably better in a Maverick meta though.

    1. who the hell plays infect

    2. Storm - see the primer. It goes into details.

    3. i dont' know what that is.

I'm afraid you don't really understand how this deck works.

You've cut half your A-plan (by cutting intuition as your wishes now can't find enter the infinite to combo out)
and cut your entire B-plan (emrakul + eladamri's call) so you can't win at all if opponent plays emrakul.

Please explain how you are going to win with firemind's foresight and how it is better with dream halls when you don't have a single intuition in your 75?

In short changes 1, 2 and 6 are beyond awful and make sure the deck doesn't work anymore.

I wouldn't go so far as saying the changes proposed by Titan2k13 make sure the deck doesn't work, but in fact some very basic adjustments are necessary.

Cutting Emrakul and Leyline, and running 4 Dream Halls main are all fine decisions. Running 19 lands are not bad as well - Emidln list is like this, and is pretty good. I believe, though, that Emrakul and Eladamri's Call should be anywere in the 75.

Regarding Firemind's Foresight, though, I'm not sure its use is clear. It is only good with Dream Halls in play and with Intuition and a 2CMC card in the main. Otherwise it is pretty meaningless. Note that it is not required: as stated in the opening post, you could cut it from the board.

As a last note, I think that saying Intuition is too slow in a deck that runs Dream Halls doesn't make much sense.

It is also quite good in the mirror, right?

FF is pretty clutch when your only business spell is Cunning Wish and they have an ETB trigger on the stack thanks to your SnT. Being able to grab Trickbind + another Wish/Intuition is huge there.

    @emidln:

What do you mean with the following sentence?

FF is pretty clutch when your only business spell is Cunning Wish and they have an ETB trigger on the stack thanks to your SnT. Being able to grab Trickbind + another Wish/Intuition is huge there.

    My translation:
Firemind's foresight is pretty strong when your only business spell is cunning wish and they have an ETB-triger=Enter the battlefield trigger like for example oblivion ring on the stack thanks to our show and tell.
You mean to get trickbind and another cunning wish or intuition and maybe a CC1 spell like for example flusterstorm is great.

    >>>>1.)right?

2.)would you say that this is also useful in the mirror when both players have omniscience in play?
3.)where may I find your current list of the deck?

Here is the explanation I wrote like 2 pages back:

Quote Originally Posted by Adan View Post
The Firemind's Foresight also allows you to react more smoothly to a comes-into-play trigger (Venser, Detention Sphere, Oblivion Ring, Flickerwisp, Angel of Despair/Ashen Rider in the future etc.). With the trigger of Oblivion Ring on the stack targeting your Omniscience post-Show and Tell, you can Cunning Wish for Firemind's Foresight. Firemind's Foresight - dependant in your maindeck configuration - either searches you:

Brainstorm, Trickbind & Intuition if you play Trickbind in your maindeck (like emidln)

    or

Brainstorm, Impulse & Cunning Wish if you play Impulse instead of Trickbind in the maindeck (like Nicolas Goldberg for example)

The first pile is obvious: you use the Trickbind to counter the trigger and proceed to tutor Enter the Infinite with Intuition and win.

The second pile is different, there you have to use Cunning Wish to fetch Trickbind from your sideboard and counter the trigger. Impulse and Brainstorm get you 7 cards deep into your library. You basically have to get lucky, but statistically that's not unlikely given that you still have like 6 or 7 outs at that point (4 Enter the Infinite, 2 Cunning Wish and 1 Intuition, that should be accurate) and the Impulse might find you a Preordain. If you find Preordain with Impulse, it even gets you 10 cards deep.

So the Trickbind line of play is the ones that takes no prisoners and wins against such a CiP-effect guaranteed. The other one is more of a "counter that trigger and hopefully I'll find another wincon". But I have experiences that Trickbind sometimes is really dead and unnecessary in many matchups, so I might swap it for Impulse. Drawing either card ruins the FF-route anyway, but drawing Impulse does not impede your flow unlike Trickbind that will clog up your hand.

I did some goldfishing and digging with Impulse and Brainstorm is usually efficient enough for such a corner case.
So in summary, Firemind's Foresight's advantage is only maxed when you play a maindeck Trickbind. That's the message.

You're not ready for it, it seems. I went back like 10 pages and easily found it.
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

In my oppinion the original (not the Laboratory) version is better against control type of decks according to the SB 3 Defense Grids. It has a huge advantage to play Impulse-Intuition-Flusterstorm in MD with the FF in SB. But it makes the sideboarding allmost impossible.
In my metagame there are a lot of control type of decks (Stone-Blade, Delver, ...) so I might give a try to the non FF version on the next Legacy League event.
What do you think about sideboardig with both versions against controls?

So, what's one of the most frustrating permanents to see come into play against you on a Show and Tell? I feel like in most situations anything can just be bounced/trickbinded with a Cunning Wish when Omniscience is in play, so is there anything that's particularly hard to deal with coming down from a Show and Tell? (In particular I would be playing a UWb MIracles deck against an Omni-tell list.) Thanks in advance.

Thalia. If you don't have open mana she shuts you down, and decks that run her tend to put you under a clock.

Most of Reanimator's dudes are pretty bad for us. Griselbrand (who cares if our spells are free when they can draw 14 and stop our key spell post-Omniscience), Iona on blue (as mentioned above), Ashen Rider / Angel of Despair.

    Trinisphere is pretty lolzy.

Detention Sphere / O-Ring are still rough.

I've lost to a Pridemage dropped off of Show & Tell too.

Pretty sure Canonist is among the worst. There's not even a trigger you can respond to.
