    Few notes after this most recent SCG: Overall record 6-2-1 (Intentional ID to secure spot for 100$ top 32)

    UR beatz 2-0
    UWR delver tempo 2-0
    Maverick 2-1
    Rock 2-1
    Maverick 1-2 (Real close, game 3 last turn...i had lethal my next turn)
    Elves 0-2
    Miracle Control 2-0
    UGB Team America 2-1

    List I ran

    // Lands
    2 [ON] Flooded Strand
    5 [10E] Island (2)
    2 [B] Volcanic Island
    4 [ZEN] Scalding Tarn
    4 [AQ] Mishra's Factory (4)
    3 [JGC] Wasteland

    // Creatures
    4 [ISD] Delver of Secrets/Insectile Aberration
    4 [MI] Phyrexian Dreadnought

    // Spells
    4 [CMD] Brainstorm
    4 [OD] Standstill
    4 [DD2] Daze
    4 [AL] Force of Will
    4 [SC] Stifle
    2 [OD] Divert
    2 [V09] Sensei's Divining Top
    1 [TSP] Trickbind
    4 [A] Lightning Bolt
    3 [DIS] Spell Snare

    // Sideboard
    SB: 3 [ZEN] Spell Pierce
    SB: 1 [OD] Divert
    SB: 3 [4E] Red Elemental Blast
    SB: 3 [FNM] Dismember
    SB: 1 [10E] Crucible of Worlds
    SB: 3 [DK] Tormod's Crypt
    SB: 1 [DDF] Echoing Truth

    Diverts were pretty cool, I made some cool plays with them when I managed to draw them. I think that this deck is pretty well poised I might've been able to squeak in the T8 had that Maverick game gone my way. Finished 22 overall/305?

    Roodmistah, why didnt you run Grim Lavamancers? They are awesome right now.

    I have been liking this list:

    Instant (20)
    4x Brainstorm
    3x Daze
    4x Force of Will
    2x Lightning Bolt
    3x Spell Snare
    4x Stifle

    Creature (12)
    4x Delver of Secrets
    4x Grim Lavamancer
    4x Phyrexian Dreadnought

    Land (20)
    2x Flooded Strand
    5x Island
    4x Mishra's Factory
    4x Scalding Tarn
    2x Volcanic Island
    3x Wasteland

    Sorcery (4)
    2x Gitaxian Probe
    2x Ponder

    Enchantment (4)
    4x Standstill

    Sideboard (15)
    2x Dismember
    1x Engineered Explosives
    2x Flusterstorm
    2x Lightning Bolt
    2x Pyroblast
    1x Red Elemental Blast
    2x Spell Pierce
    2x Surgical Extraction
    1x Tormod's Crypt

    Problem is that the sideboard isnt optimized well, I have too many cards to bring in sometimes and then the deck gets dilluted. Maybe im even cutting the wrong cards in some matchups.

    Dsck go through a couple of your side boarding plans for key match ups; stone blade, BUG, Maverick, etc. and we can work out any changes that should be made.

    I'm thinking about putting together a more old school list. Sideboard was just thrown together but I'm happy with the main so far.

    // Lands
    4 [TE] Wasteland
    4 [4E] Mishra's Factory
    4 [ZEN] Scalding Tarn
    3 [ON] Flooded Strand
    3 [R] Volcanic Island
    3 [DPA] Island (4)

    // Creatures
    3 [MOR] Vendilion Clique
    4 [MI] Phyrexian Dreadnought
    3 [ISD] Snapcaster Mage

    // Spells
    3 [OD] Divert
    2 [M10] Ponder
    1 [TSP] Trickbind
    3 [OD] Standstill
    4 [R] Lightning Bolt
    4 [5E] Brainstorm
    4 [AL] Force of Will
    4 [SC] Stifle
    4 [NE] Daze

    // Sideboard
    SB: 1 [ALA] Relic of Progenitus
    SB: 3 [4E] Red Elemental Blast
    SB: 1 [CH] Tormod's Crypt
    SB: 1 [DKA] Grafdigger's Cage

    Re: [Deck] Dreadstill - Enter the Fist

    hi there! i would show my current list (sorry for my english ) anyway this is the list:

    4 bob
    4 delver
    4 grim lavamancer
    2 dreadnought

    3 daze
    4 fow
    2 spell snare
    4 bolt
    4 brainstorm
    4 stifle

    3 standstill

    4 mishra
    3 wasteland
    2 underground sea
    4 voulcanic island
    1 island
    8 fetch

    i'm able to play under standstill with lavamncer and snare (OTD).
    why some choice?

    3 daze: in this metagame with a lot of shaman daze is become a little bit bad 3 i think is the right number
    2 snare: i would like play the third because it permit to play standstill in the second turn

    also in my opinion a good card could be dismember because resolves a may problem: tarmo in primis! maybe i can cut one grim??

    that all....some advice?

    Welcome to The Source! You're missing 2 cards there, maybe Dreadnoughts? What does your sideboard look like?

    I've always been a fan of 21 lands with 4 Wasteland and 3 Mishra's Factory.

    2 fluster
    2 perish
    3 seize
    1 duress
    2 vendilion
    2 surgical
    2 dismember
    1 ghastly demise

    But is difficult find somethig could be right because depends of the metagame and also with grixis color we have many interesting cards! 😄

    Interesting, what exactly are you using the Discard to fight? I'm not the biggest advocate of discard here since it doesn't synergize very well with the tempo plan or the Standstill route. Sure it's nice to slam Dreadnought after seeing their hand but I don't see that happening to often. No Red Elemental Blast? I think it's a must if you're on the red splash, I'd play at least 3 no matter what.

    I would say take the discard out for another Flusterstorm and some REBs. Actually I'm not sure if Fluster is better than Spell Pierce in this deck. Winning counter wars is generally elementary and Fluster isn't as effective across multiple matchups. You can probably also swap out the Ghastly Demise for the last Dismember.

    Hello guys, I'd like to share with you the deck I brewed and tested during the last 2-3 months.
    Today I finally decided to bring to a tournament.

    116 players, went 6-0 and an ID in the last round.
    Won in the quarterfinals, and we ended up splitting in the top4.

    2-1 team italia
    2-0 omnishow
    2-0 jund
    1-0 miracle uwr
    2-1 reanimator
    2-0 miracle
    ID against ugr punishing fire ("Robin")

    Top8
    2-0 deathblade

    Here's the decklist:

    MD:61
    1 Relic of Progenitus
    2 Engineered Explosives
    3 Sensei's Divining Top
    4 Counterbalance
    3 Phyrexian Dreadnought
    2 Trinket Mage
    1 Vendilion Clique
    4 Stifle
    1 Trickbind
    2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor
    4 Force of Will
    2 Spell Pierce
    2 Spell Snare
    4 Punishing Fire
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Grove of the Burnwillows
    4 Volcanic Island
    2 Polluted Delta
    2 Misty Rainforest

    3 Wasteland
    1 Underground Sea

    //Sideboard
    SB: 1 Relic of Progenitus
    SB: 1 Tormod's Crypt
    SB: 1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor
    SB: 2 Pyroclasm
    SB: 2 Pyroblast
    SB: 2 Flusterstorm
    SB: 1 Pithing Needle
    SB: 2 Perish
    SB: 1 Vendilion Clique
    SB: 2 Swan Song

    Re: [Deck] Dreadstill - Enter the Fist

    Yes Reb is always a good card and maybe i could take it in and cut 1duress and 1fluster, but i want a discard effect because i can discard equip and also decay who is a big problem, and discard effect allowed us to know the cards in hands opponent and this is so important i think! 😝

    Another thing...why you play punish going to get worst the manabase when you can do the same using grim lavamncer who also become a good target against GBx that use often decay? I prefer kill my lavancer or balance than dreadnought! But anyway congratulation for your result and interestig decklist! 😄😄😄

    Re: [Deck] Dreadstill - Enter the Fist

    Current list I'm running:

    // Lands
    4 Wasteland
    4 Mishra's Factory
    3 Scalding Tarn
    3 Flooded Strand
    3 Volcanic Island
    3 Island

    // Creatures
    2 Vendilion Clique
    4 Phyrexian Dreadnought
    4 Delver of Secrets

    // Spells
    3 Divert
    2 Ponder (would top be better?)
    1 Trickbind
    4 Standstill
    4 Lightning Bolt
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Force of Will
    4 Stifle
    4 Daze

    // Sideboard
    SB: 1 [ALA] Relic of Progenitus
    SB: 3 [4E] Red Elemental Blast
    SB: 1 [CH] Tormod's Crypt
    SB: 1 [DKA] Grafdigger's Cage
    SB: 4 [NE] Submerge
    SB: 3 [CMD] Flusterstorm
    SB: 2 [PLC] Rough/Tumble

    I'm probably playing this deck going into Eternal weekend in Philadelphia. I have two questions that I've been asking myself a lot in the last couple days. First, is a 4th Island better than a 4th Wasteland in a 20 land build. Second, what do we do against UWR delver? Overall I feel like that's the worst matchup this deck has.

    I've also been thinking about if I ran top main, to adding another top and 3 Counterbalance to the sideboard against white based control decks. Is that necessary? Or do we just leave that matchup alone and focus on strengthening our our game vs other decks?

    Re: [Deck] Dreadstill - Enter the Fist

    Hi guys, I have a local tourney on Sunday and I'm thinking on playing UR Dreadstill (last time I played a UB list and got 9th )

    Well, I feel that one of the hardest decks to face are the heavy removal ones (mostly with multiples swords and path to exile postboard). Thinking about that, and given that I have 3 free slots at sideboard, I wanted to ask you all what do you would play in those slots: 3 Apostle's Blessing or 2 Diverts + 1 Pithing Needle (don't have any P.N. at sideboard yet) or 2 Apostle's Blessing + 1 Pithing Needle. I'm playing 2 Vision Charms at main and 3 Spell Pierces, so I could protect the Dreadnought with them.

    I know that Apostle's Blessing function would be only to protect Delver and Dreadnought. Divert could have more applications and can be pitched to FOW.

    What would you play? Any other suggestions?
    Currently playing: T.E.S. & RUG Delver

    Vision charm works to save dreadnought and fix his etb trigger.

    Yeah, I play 2 on main, are you suggesting to play a 4-of after sideboarding? Apostle's Blessing works with colourless mana, which is important imo.
