My point had less to do with nomenclature and more to do with the fact they're named a certain way because they're the linchpin of the deck. They are not TNN decks.
I disagree with the level of warping TNN is causing. And format warping itself isn't necessarily a bad thing for that matter. That's what a metagame is. Different effects people have to plan around.
Just because you don't disagree with the amount of warping doesn't make said warping good for the game. Ergo, WotC will ban cards if they cause too much negative warping.
The argument about a deck being a TNN or not a TNN deck is irrelevant. Maybe that's a secret joke...?
Well they are TNN decks in the sense of they adopt 1 card (TNN) to replace other cards (confidant, souls, geist, tombstalker) to get better. They are not TNN decks in the sense of that their whole gameplan revolves around TNN. Anyway I think the point is that format diversity is hurt.

Am I in the BOTG spoiler thread? I literally just got done reading through a bunch of TNN rants in the banned and restricted thread, then found myself here in the exact same place.

What ever happened to talking about how shitty this set was?
Set is too shitty for me to even care about how shitty the set is. For how much "top down" flavor this set should be, it feel like crap. Enchantment creature in a greek block? What's greek about that? I CAN see scry, but everything else what the hell. Everything being a creature don't really sit in a set that should be about flavor: what about all the philosophers and we got what, 0 reference on them? Poets? No instead we get enchantment creatures, seriously. We got no lands of the city-states either. Instead we got dragons. Innistrad was 10 times this block was in term of flavor and i don't think it was done particularly well either, but at least it wasn't as ugly as this.
TNN discussions are really offtopic here. Just ban the damn thing! There is nothing more to say about it.
Not worth talking about.
SoL is good, Lion King might be good (but needs testing), the rest is shit. Too much overcosted crap or underpowered cards. Take Satyr Firedancer for example: It's an interesting card and would certainly fit a balls-to-the-walls aggro strategy, but a 1/1 vanilla body makes it incredibly underwhelming for said plan.
It was more about myths and shit. It doesn't help that we already have a lot of Greek mythos imbued in our creature base (i.e. shit like minotaurs and cyclops exist already) . I like the flavor behind enchantment creatures but to each their own I guess.
I find it really strange how twofaced the community is about new stuff. We bash the new sets for being shitty, then get mad when they print stuff that actually makes an impact. I guess like most gaming communities we simply don't know what we want but we sure are unhappy with what we got. With the downside that Wizards doesn't seem to get it right either. :(

The impact could be more subtle like Wear/Tear, Abrupt Decay, Craterhoof Behemoth etc. etc.
